Day 1
Cape Town to Hoedspruit
You'll arrive at Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Cape Town where you will be picked up from Eastgate for your trip to the nearby Kapama Game Reserve. We will make sure that you arrive at Southern Camp in time for you to freshen up and eat before you go on your first-afternoon game drive into the reserve with your ranger and tracker. On the way, you will make a stop for a relaxed sundowner, and during this break, you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs while watching the sunset over the Drakensberg mountains in the distance. The animals of the bush that are active only at night become more visible as dusk fades. On the way back to the resort after dark, you might catch a glimpse of a diverse collection of individual species. The skilled tracker will search the environment using a flashlight that shines light on the eyes of the animals they encounter. Your arrival at the lodge is often around 7:00 pm, leaving ample time to refresh up before a delectable meal. Kruger National Park
The last day of your safari will start with an early morning wildlife drive, during which you will, hopefully, see a few more things that will stick with you forever. After the drive, you will be treated to a hearty breakfast at the lodge before being transferred to Eastgate Airport for your flight home. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
