Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
Your safari begins early in the morning as you depart from O.R. Tambo International Airport at 07:00, traveling through the diverse landscapes of Mpumalanga to reach Dumela Tented Camp by approximately 14:00. After settling in and refreshing, your adventure continues with an afternoon sunset game drive through the Blue Canyon Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger. This experience offers a private game reserve feel, where you can spot the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes), as well as giraffes, zebras, and hippos. Enjoy sundowners in the wilderness before returning to camp for dinner around the boma fire, sharing stories of the day’s sightings. Morning Safari & Departure to Johannesburg
Rise early for coffee and rusks before departing on a morning safari in Kruger National Park. Starting around 06:00 and concluding by 09:00, you'll have the chance to enjoy a packed breakfast while surrounded by the park's natural wonders. After the safari, return to camp for a quick shower before beginning your journey back. Expect to arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport between 17:00 and 18:00. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
