Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa's fourth largest game park, is situated in a crater in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province. This crater is the product of a volcano that erupted many millions of years ago. This extinct volcano has evolved to become one of the most fascinating landscapes for you to visit. By the Genesis project, the majority of South Africa's wildlife is now found in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
You will be picked up early in Johannesburg or Pretoria and driven to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. You will arrive at Pilanesberg between 9:00-9:15 am. Your day in the game reserve starts with a 2½ to 3-hour game drive in our closed tour vehicle. The exact length of the game drive depends on whether you see an exciting animal sighting and spend a little bit longer at the sighting. From 12:00 to 1:00 pm, enjoy a light lunch and beverages (for your own cost) at Pilanesberg Centre. After the lunch break, you will make your way to Manyane Resort to book in and drop your bags off. Your guide for the afternoon safari tour will meet you mid-afternoon at Manyane, between 4:00 and 4:30 pm. You will climb on board an open safari vehicle for a 2½ to 3-hour game drive (again, depends on what you see). After a wonderful game drive, your guide returns you to the resort. You will freshen up and relax before it’s time for dinner which is prepared by your guide. Inside Pilanesberg GR Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
Begin your final morning with breakfast at the camp before heading out on a memorable open-vehicle safari drive in Pilanesberg National Park. Accompanied by experienced rangers, enjoy your last opportunity to spot the Big Five and soak in the beauty of the bushveld as your safari continues through the morning and into the early afternoon. Return from your game drive at around 3:00 PM and begin your journey back to Johannesburg, with a refreshment stop along the way. Arrival is expected between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM. If you require an airport drop-off by 5:00 PM, please ensure your flight details are provided in advance. Breakfast is included, bringing your unforgettable safari experience to a close. 5.0/5Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe

Martin took us through the reserve to locate the animals. He answered our questions and taught us so many things about the big 5
Dayo · Australia
We had a very good time at the Dumela Tented Camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guides on the game drives were really good. We had luck and could see many different animals.
Kerrin · Germany
Really enjoyable and informative tour which also included an eye opening tour of the poorer parts of Soweto. Our guide Thomas was excellent , very knowledgable about a number of key historical events . A top quality tour and highly recommended .
