Day 2

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have an early breakfast at the lodge and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Set off into the forest with your guide and tracker, beginning the trek to find a gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorilla's location. Once the gorillas are located, you'll spend one hour observing them as they go about their daily activities—feeding, playing, resting, and interacting with each other. After the trek, return to the park headquarters for your trekking certificate. Return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and lunch. Optional: Visit a nearby community to learn about local culture, including the Batwa pygmies, and their traditional ways of life or The Ivy River trail which is 13 km long hiking trail in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP). Ivy River trail is notably the oldest hiking trail that passes through the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Return and relax at the lodge for dinner. Professional, well-organized, respectful, punctual

I recently had the pleasure of traveling with Verdoro Safaris, and it was an outstanding experience from the start to the end. Communication before and during the trip was clear and professional. Every question I had was answered with patience and detail, which made me feel confident and excited before the tour even began. The staff were good too. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and local culture, and his enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable. I enjoyed the game drives of Murchison falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park. I highly recommend Verdoro Safaris to anyone looking for a reliable, enriching, and well-organized safari experience. You won’t be disappointed because they exceeded my expectations.

Committed to providing the best experience of Uganda possible.

Verdoro communicated regularly, efficiently and effectively, prior to our arrival Their suggestions were constructive and helpful. All questions were answered promptly. Adjustments were readily made to our itinerary, owing to unforeseen circumstances. Our tour exceeded our expectations. We have had experiences which we will remember forever. Whilst in Uganda our guide has ensured we have arrived at each destination safely and has shared extensive local knowledge. They have resolved any minor issues easily and supported us doing things outside their remit.

Patient during the planning stage and excellent guide during the safari.

During the planning stages Verdoro Safaris was very helpful with setting up the routes and activities during the safari. The guide we had was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife as well as general questions we had. When the weather was less than great there were alternatives provided from which we could choose. The accommodations they had us in were great and very close to the parks and activities. The vehicle was well maintained and comfortable. We were able to see almost everything that we wanted to see and the only misses were due to weather or just nature not cooperating. Would highly recommend.
