Day 1
Guests are collected from their hotels or guesthouses in Johannesburg between 7h00 - 8h00. Leave Johannesburg in an air-conditioned microbus with our professional Kruger Park driver/guide. Travel East across the Highveld farmlands and down the beautiful Elands Valley to Mbombela (Nelspruit), the capital of Mpumalanga province. Continue along the Crocodile Valley to Malelane where we will stop for lunch. Enter Southern Kruger Park and prepare for your first exciting game drive. Look out for antelope, giraffe, zebra and when it's cooler maybe some of the Big Five. Before sunset exit Kruger Park & drive a short distance to Sabie River Bush Lodge. Book into an en suite lodge room or African safari tent. Relax on the pool deck overlooking the river with a sundowner drink waiting for the hippo to come out & start grazing. Your guide will arrange dinner in the Gecko Lapa restaurant which serves a 3 course meal. Wi-Fi is available to send photos & keep in touch on your phone. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Southern Kruger NP Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
Awaken at dawn, leave the lodge & drive directly to Kruger Park entrance gate. Prepare your cameras for the early morning game drive to look for lions and other Big Five species (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo). Call into one of the Camps where your guide will provide breakfast packs & coffee. Continue with the mid-morning drive stopping at waterholes to see animals drinking or crocodiles lazing in the sun. By midday you can expect hot weather & your guide will head for Skukuza Camp. Book into an en suite chalet with air-con & screens to prevent insects, then time for a swim or lunch. WiFi is available near the restaurant. Later board the National Parks open safari vehicle for a sunset game drive & a chance to see hyenas or other nocturnal species with spotlights. Your guide will arrange dinner in the Cattle Baron Bistro & walk back to your chalet under the starlit sky. Mid-range rest camp located inside Southern Kruger NP Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
After a quick coffee, pack up & depart from camp for an early morning game drive to search for elusive animals such as leopard often found in trees or rocky outcrops. For the birdwatchers, it's a wonderful opportunity to see many different species in the bushveld or near the water. Breakfast and time for final photo's before you leave the Park and enjoy a relaxing homeward journey via Schoeman's Kloof then up the escarpment to Johannesburg. Arrive back at OR Tambo International Airport or nearby hotels by 16h00. Please allow 1.5 hours connecting time for local flights or preferably 3.0 hours for International flights. Our guides are usually punctual & many passengers fly down to Cape Town that same evening. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5We loved the tour! We stayed in 3 different locations and we expected that we would be eating breakfast at the resorts but our guide Hoppy took us to other locations and we were able to pick what we wanted. Every place he took us to eat was fantastic! The tour on the park was also fantastic! We saw everything but the leopard (he was hiding). Loved it! And the places we stayed were beautiful!

We had an amazing experience with Hoppy Hawell and Wildlife Safaris. The communication was great, the team was very responsive and even provided suggestions on where to stay near the airport for an easy transition. Our guide Hoppy picked us at the airport and then we started with the Panorama drive for great landscape views and spots. The lodges and camps they partner with were great for nice views and easy wildlife encounters. The tour was worth every penny to have everything coordinated by them. Hoppy was very nice and experienced in the Kruger park and knew every spot to find the animals. We got our Big 5 spotting and much more! He’s really knowledgeable and answered our million questions from trees, to birds to animals. Thank you Wildlife Safaris and Hoppy for making this an experience we will never forget.

My experience with Wildlife Safaris far exceeded expectations. We saw the big 5 - included 2 rhinos & 3 leopards - and countless other giraffe, hyena, zebra, baboons, a menagerie of unique birds and much more. Our guide Brian was fantastic - his ability to spot wildlife and identify the countless species was fantastic. He also kept us on schedule without us ever feeling rushed. Cannot recommend this higher!
