Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash National Park
Depart from Addis Ababa in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Ethiopian Rift Valley, passing small towns and striking volcanic landscapes before arriving at Awash National Park. After lunch, set out on an afternoon game drive to spot wildlife such as oryx, gazelles, baboons, and warthogs. The park is also a haven for birdlife—keep an eye out for species like the ostrich, secretary bird, Abyssinian ground hornbill, and various eagles and kingfishers. Visit the spectacular Awash Falls, where the Awash River plunges into a dramatic gorge, offering both breathtaking views and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Wildlife & Nature Exploration
Start early with a sunrise game drive in Awash National Park—the best time to spot wildlife such as kudu, hartebeest, and even crocodiles along the riverbanks. Later, explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from open savannah and acacia woodland to striking volcanic formations. Awash is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to over 300 species, including the Abyssinian ground hornbill, secretary bird, Somali ostrich, and colorful bee-eaters and kingfishers. In the afternoon, unwind at your lodge or enjoy a guided walking safari for a closer look at the park’s unique flora, smaller wildlife, and abundant birdlife. Return to Addis Ababa
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Awash National Park with a short game drive or guided nature walk, offering a final chance to spot wildlife and birds in the cool early hours. You may encounter gazelles, warthogs, baboons, and a variety of birds such as sunbirds, hornbills, and weavers as the park comes to life. After breakfast, begin your scenic return journey to Addis Ababa through the Rift Valley. Along the way, enjoy views of volcanic landscapes, acacia-dotted plains, and local villages. Optional stops can include roadside markets, where you can experience local life and shop for handmade crafts, fresh fruits, or traditional items, as well as scenic viewpoints perfect for photos and a final appreciation of the region’s natural beauty. I’m a solo female traveller, and I really enjoyed this tour with Saleamlak. I felt completely safe the entire time; he’s very knowledgeable, approachable, and flexible. He shared many stories about his country, it’s clear he knows a lot and has a wealth of experience. It’s a shame I already had the rest of my trip planned; otherwise, I would have taken another tour with them. Good price as well .

Well-organized tour to Debre Libanos
My tour to Debre Libanos and Blue Nile Gorge was wonderful. This excursion was a first in my trip to Ethiopia, and it was a good first impression. Our guide was exceptional. He explained everything clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and ensured everyone in the group felt included and comfortable throughout the day. Everything was interesting and well-organized. From the ancient church and museum to the Portuguese Bridge and the panoramic views. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the region.

The tour was great, but the qeuipments provided were not that great, especially the vechicle was broken during the trip. Well the 3 days volcano trip with 4x4 was fatastic, the food, the service are also great. It wasw a wonderful experiecce.
