Overview
This 3-day gorilla trekking tour starts from Kigali with pick-up by one of our professional driver guides from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali and transfer via the Katuna or Chanika border. You will visit the scenic Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mutanda and enjoy the breathtaking views of rolling hills or scenic islands. After trekking in Bwindi National Park, transfer back to Kigali.

Day 1
Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
From the airport, you will transfer to the Gorilla land in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in Uganda. The road trip takes you through the beautiful Kigezi land with dinner and overnight at the lodge. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check in at your accommodation. You can relax as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the next day as well as the Batwa cultural trail (optional). Day 2
Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation on Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast and a packed lunch, we'll drive to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers after which we will head out to track the mystical creatures. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. Enjoy your packed lunch and return to the lodge to freshen up. You will then head out for the Batwa trail experience and enjoy cultural dances and local interaction (optional) before you proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 to 2,478m, but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical. Day 3
Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kigali Airport
After an early breakfast, you can choose to do a community walk, a canoe ride, a boat ride, a bicycle ride, bird watching, cray fishing, or any other activity in Lake Bunyonyi (additional cost payable at the accommodation). After your activity, the team will set out on a drive to Kigali. You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel in Kigali. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team. Meals at own expense Drinks not included

A dream came true
