Johannesburg to Kapama Private Game Reserve
Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged hotel or guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment, and through the scenic Lowveld region. You will arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve around mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Then, freshen up and relax before departing on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Your overnight stay is at Kapama River Lodge. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or outdoors on the wooden deck. Kapama Private Game Reserve
Wake up early (between 5:30am and 6:00am) for hot beverages and rusks before departing on a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart after high tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush. Your overnight stay is at Kapama River Lodge. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
