Bujumbura international airport pick up and transfer to your hotel
Upon Arrive at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport in Bujumbura. You will be met by your guide who will facilitate your transfer. If you arrive in the morning time, we will proceed with a short Bujumbura city tour after check-in to your hotel. And then after the short city tour, return back to your hotel. Day 2
Transfer to Kibira National Park , Chimpanzee Tracking & Pygmy experience
After your breakfast, drive to Kibira National Park, a pristine montane rainforest spanning Burundi's western mountains. Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you will receive a briefing from park rangers. Then, embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking. Guided by experienced trackers, you will navigate through dense forest trails, searching for habituated chimpanzee communities. This rigorous hike offers incredible opportunities not only to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat but also to encounter other primates, unique flora, and a rich diversity of birdlife. • Afternoon: Pygmy experience. After your lunch, go to immerse yourself in the pygmy culture and learn about their culture through dance, art and smithing. • Evening: Drive a little bit to Gitega and stay at Tropitel Hotel. Gishora drum sanctuary & Transfer back to Bujumbura
After your breakfast, go to immerse yourself in a profound cultural experience. Witness the powerful and captivating performances of the Royal Drummers of Gishora whose art form is recognized by UNESCO. Learn about the historical significance of the drums, the rituals associated with them, and their role in Burundian kingship and society. You'll gain insights into this ancient tradition and perhaps even have the opportunity for a hands-on interaction. Later after, drive back to Bujumbura and fly back to your home. Unforgettable trip with ETT
Exciting and full of impressions and adventures trip through 3 countries. A great experience of meeting gorillas and chimpanzees, but also an amazing experience from a boat on the Nile. Photos with crocodiles and hippos near the waterfalls will remain in our memory for the rest of our lives. Eraste is a really nice guy who does all he can to give one a memorable trip.
I very much enjoyed my visit to see the Red Monkeys at Musanze even if there were so many people at the same venue going off to see the Gorillas. The Diane Fossey centre is well worth the time for a visit. The Genocide museum in Kigali although it is harrowing it should not be missed. The highlight of my whole trip was going into the Congo to see the Gorillas, for me it was a life time memory. The boat trip on the slow boat to Goma in the Congo was a really enjoyable day too, not much to see in the town except the wooden bicycles. Burundi was a good experience too as not many make the effort to visit as such many locals are please to meet and chat.

I did an 8-day game safari tour with Empirical Tour and Travel across the amazing land of Rwanda.
