My experience with Bongan was unforgettable

Since the first contat with Mr. Bongani, I have all the information and questionário clarified. The experience of a staying in an AFrican village was truly immersing myself in the local cultura. The Lodge is very tidy, the rooms are spacious, clean and arrange with great care. Breakfast is very complete and the dinner is served by a campfire, always with variety of dishes prepare by Lorrane with great care. I did the 6-day safari, which I recommend to have more time to see the big five. All the guide did their best to ensure we were abre to see all the animals. The entre itinerary was followed and everything was organized, safe and punctual, including the transfer. The panorâmic route is a must. Finally, I would like to Express my deep gratitude to everyone at bongan. Thank you for helping me make this dream come True.

Bongan safaris was a unique experience that we always keep in our minds.Bongan was super polite,friendly,helpful,we saw everything,the accommodation was fantastic(we were staying on a great place inside the nature),the food was fantastic…it’s an experience a highly recommend…thank you Bongan for everything..I hope we visit again this wonderful place!!!! Experience of a life time!

An excellent stay. The host is friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much. The food is amazing. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. Bongani is a great and knowledgeable guide, saw the Big 5 and many animals during our game drive at Kruger National Park. Thank you, we will definitely return

Home Away from Home Near Kruger, a Hidden Gem!

I first stayed at Bongan Safaris solo in December 2024, and I loved it so much that I returned in March 2025 with my entire family (a group of five). Both times, we had an incredible experience that felt more like staying at a warm, welcoming bed-and-breakfast than a traditional safari lodge. Nestled in a quiet rural village just outside Acornhoek, the lodge offers a peaceful, authentic atmosphere that still feels close to the action. It’s only about a 20-minute drive from Kruger’s Orpen Gate, which made it super convenient for our early morning game drives. I like how Bongan offers both Kruger and private game reserves in the safari package. Some of our favorite experiences included the sunrise bushwalks and sunset drives through the private game reserve full of wildlife sightings! One of my family members has dietary restrictions, and I really appreciated how the staff at Bongan Safaris went out of their way to accommodate them with thoughtful meal options. I wouldn’t hesitate to return again and highly recommend it for travelers looking for a budget-friendly, relaxed, and personal safari experience in the Kruger area.
