Overview
Shindzela is an eco-friendly camp situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve which offers an authentic safari experience. Shindzela's layout encompasses an open-plan lounge, dining room, bar area overlooking a dry river bed, and a small watering hole where animals flock for a drink of water during the hot summer days. There is also a small swimming pool where you can enjoy your book or just stare out into the bush. Open-air boma where we serve dinner (weather permitting).

Day 1
Check in at Shindzela Tented Camp
Self-drive to Timbavati Game Reserve, a private transfer can be arranged at an additional cost. You'll check-in at Shindzela. At 2:30 pm, you'll go meet in the dining area for lunch before heading out on your evening game drive with a sundowner stop in the reserve. You'll return to camp to freshen up or relax around the fire before dinner is served. After dinner, you'll return to your tent for the evening. Timbavati Private Nature Reserve
An early morning wake-up call will be followed by morning coffee and rusks in the dining room before departing on your morning game drive. Depending on the weather your morning game drive can be swapped for a safari walk. While on your morning game drive, you can enjoy a coffee break in the bush. You'll return to the camp for breakfast/brunch. You'll relax around the pool or in the lounge area. At 2:30, you'll meet in the dining room for lunch before heading out on your evening game drive with a sundowner stop in the reserve. You'll return to camp to freshen up or relax around the fire before dinner is served. After dinner, you'll return to your tent for the evening. Sandra from Traipsing Africa's Safaris was amazing. She provided a few options and differing price points and gave some helpful suggestions. Compared to the other quotes her was amazing. We got to go to a small luxury lodge for the same or less than others quoted for good but not as great options. Communication was perfect. The drivers to and from the lodge were such good fun. Booked 3 days/2 nights at the Black Rhino Game lodge through Traipsing Africa and Sandra. Everything from request to payment and transport to and from JNB went very smoothly.
