Day 1
Start your day with a pick-up between 06h00 and 08h00 from Cape Town CBD or Stellenbosch and travel along Route 62, the world's longest wine route. Enjoy stunning views of mountains, valleys, vineyards, and orchards. Stop at a farm stall to taste local delicacies before reaching Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital and gateway to the Cango Caves. Explore the caves with either the Heritage Tour, a leisurely walk through the main chambers, or the Adventure Tour, a more challenging route through narrow passages. Spend the night in Oudtshoorn. You can dine in town or join an optional outdoor braai (barbeque), subject to availability, featuring local specialities. Stay in a luxurious room at Hlangana Lodge or similar accommodation. Children under the age of 8 are not permitted on these scheduled group tours, and those aged 8 to 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children under the age of 18 cannot stay in shared dorm rooms and must book private rooms. Mid-range lodge located in Oudtshoorn (Garden Route) Meals at own expense Drinks not included
Day 2
You can start in the early morning by joining an optional (own expense) Elephant Observation Nature Bush Walk to follow and observe 3 orphaned elephants, rescued from poachers, in a natural habitat. Later, you'll enjoy a relaxing canoe ride along the reed-lined riverbanks in Wilderness and observe the variety of birds in the area. The adventure reaches its peak at Bloukrans Bridge, the world's highest commercial bridge for bungee jump, where you might dare to plunge 216m with nothing but an elastic cord (at your own expense). If you're not up for the bungee jump, you can take a leisurely walk near the bridge in nature. Spend the evening in Wilderness, where you can dine at local restaurants. You will overnight in a charming room at the beachfront Dolphin Dunes in Wilderness or similar accommodation, depending on availability. Luxury guest house located in Wilderness (Garden Route) Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
Experience a 4x4 safari in a malaria-free private game reserve, where you can see giraffe, white rhino, kudu, lion, elephant, zebra, wildebeest and more. An experienced game ranger will guide you on the safari and on a short (approximately 5-minute) bush walk, where you can get closer to nature and learn about the wildlife, plants and tracks. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Garden Route as you return to Cape Town. You will arrive by late afternoon or early evening (between 17h00 and 21h00 depending on traffic and drop-off address). * Due to the differing locations of accommodation options, travellers will be transferred to their respective lodgings at the end of each night, potentially resulting in the group being separated based on the accommodation in their booked stay package. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe

Martin took us through the reserve to locate the animals. He answered our questions and taught us so many things about the big 5
Dayo · Australia
We had a very good time at the Dumela Tented Camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guides on the game drives were really good. We had luck and could see many different animals.
Kerrin · Germany
Really enjoyable and informative tour which also included an eye opening tour of the poorer parts of Soweto. Our guide Thomas was excellent , very knowledgable about a number of key historical events . A top quality tour and highly recommended .
