Day 1
Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve
You private vehicle will fetch you from your address in Johannesburg or Pretoria and then travel through to Madikwe. As you enter Madikwe Game Reserve in the early afternoon, you will be greeted at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge and given a tour of the property. The game-viewing hide awaits. After swimming to cool down, you may have afternoon tea with savoury and sweet delicacies. Grab your cameras for the night-time wildlife drive led by a local ranger. Madikwe is home to the majestic Big Five. The only park with more elephants is Kruger National Park. After seeing the breathtaking beauty of an African sunset, guests will get the chance to watch animals using spotlights in order to identify nocturnal species. You will have supper at the lodge where you are staying. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, particularly when served around a campfire in a boma. Day 2
Madikwe Game Reserve
The objective for the day is to get up before daybreak, drink some tea or coffee, and have a light meal before leaving on a game drive to see the animals before dawn. The reserve's wildlife is often more active in the morning when temperatures are lower and there is better lighting for photography. After returning to the lodge for a full breakfast or lunch, you may relax by the pool with a good novel or make use of the resort's other amenities in the afternoon. You'll depart on a wildlife-watching drive that may stretch late into the evening after yet another delectable dinner. Your day will definitely finish with a satisfying meal and some quiet reflection by the campfire as you ponder on the things you've seen. We hope you have many wonderful memories from this, your last morning game drive, which will begin at the crack of dawn. Following the drive, you will be escorted back to your lodge for breakfast before being transported to Johannesburg or Pretoria to your preferred location. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
