Day 1
Mombasa or Diani to Masai Mara National Reserve
Begin your safari adventure with a self-arranged transfer to Mombasa or Ukunda (Diani) Airport for your scheduled morning flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy a scenic journey over Kenya's coast, the Rift Valley and rolling savannahs before landing at an airstrip within the Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, a safari guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge or tented camp, located inside or near the reserve. After a warm welcome and check-in, you will enjoy lunch and have time to relax as you take in the panoramic views of the Mara. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive. The Masai Mara is home to an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and—if you are fortunate—the elusive leopard. If travelling during the great migration season (July to October), you may see thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains or rivers in dramatic fashion. Return to your camp or lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay. Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out on a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. Depending on your preference and the day's wildlife movements, you may embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch or opt for morning and afternoon drives with a midday break at the lodge. Explore different parts of the reserve, from open grasslands where predators roam to riverbanks where hippos and crocodiles dwell. Your experienced guide will interpret animal behaviour and lead you to the best spots for sightings and photography. In the evening, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy another delicious dinner. Spend the night exchanging stories around the campfire or simply listening to the sounds of the wild outside your tent. Day 3
Masai Mara National Reserve to Mombasa or Diani
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge as you soak in your final views of the Masai Mara. Take time for photos or simply unwind before check-out. Unlike previous days, there is no game drive today, giving you the chance to pack and prepare at leisure. Late in the morning, your guide will transfer you to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Mombasa or Diani. We had a great time in Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Amboseli. The tour was well organized, with beautiful lodges (we loved Satao Camp and Severin Safari Camp), John was very helpful and also helped to organize a birthday surprise for a friend, Amos our tour guide was just awesome, he gave everything to make our tour unforgettable.
