Enjoy a hot coffee ahead of the 07h00 gorilla trekking briefing. Following the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family suitable for your fitness level. The trek leads you through lush bamboo and montane forest as trackers guide you to your assigned gorilla group. Spend one powerful hour observing their behavior—feeding, playing, grooming, and interacting under the watchful presence of the silverback. The trek combines close wildlife encounters with the dramatic beauty of the Virunga landscape, creating a truly memorable experience. Once done, descend from the mountains and proceed to the lodge for check out. Lunch and brief rest. 15h30: Visit the Ellen Degeneres campus for a self-guided tour. The center is dedicated to gorilla research, education, and protecting mountain gorillas. 5.0/5Exploring Rwanda’s cultural roots was truly enriching! From the King’s Palace Museum to the Ethnographic Museum, every stop offered powerful insight and learning. I had the pleasure of experiencing it all with 49 students—and as a teacher, I found myself learning just as much. We wrapped up the day with a lovely lunch and great conversations. Special thanks to Gorille Africain Tours for their smooth coordination—highly recommended for school trips and educational tours!

What a day to remember in Kigali! I had the joy of exploring this beautiful city with 50 of my amazing students. We visited the Campaign Against Genocide Museum, strolled through the serene Nyandungu Eco Park, and enjoyed a delicious lunch and guided tour at Umusambi Village — a perfect blend of history, nature, and reflection. Beyond our own tour, I also had the pleasure of coordinating several school trips with Gorille Africain Tours — and every single one was smooth, enriching, and professionally handled. Highly recommend them for educational and group experiences. Truly an exceptional experience from start to finish!
