Your safari odyssey begins in Johannesburg when you hop into a trusty vehicle and head northwest toward the Pilanesberg National Park. You are expected to arrive by 09h00 when a quad bike safari awaits. Between 09h30 and 11h30, you will explore the rugged terrain, wind through acacia groves, kick up dust, and feel the thrill of freedom as you track wildlife. After this exhilarating ride, it's time to refuel. Lunch is served at the lodge, and then you can slip into your swimsuit and lounge by the pool. As the sun dips low, you embark on our sunset safari in an open safari vehicle. An expert guide will point out interesting sights, and you can click away with your cameras! Back at the lodge, the aroma of a hearty dinner fills the air. You can share many stories around the campfire before going to bed – perhaps where the distant roar of a lion lulls you into dreams of wild adventures. As the first rays of sunlight kiss the savannah, you should already be out and about. Binoculars and camera in hand, step into the open safari vehicle for a sunrise game drive. Back at the lodge, a hearty breakfast awaits. You can swap stories about the elusive leopard, the comical warthog, and more. By noon, you can feast on a scrumptious lunch at a lodge restaurant before free time beckons. Perhaps you’ll lounge by the pool, book in hand, or maybe you prefer to wander along the nature trails, where every rustle in the bushes holds a secret. The choice is yours. As the sun begins its descent, you set off on another sunset safari to experience how the landscape transforms - the grasslands turn amber, and the sky blushes with hues of coral and lavender. Back at the lodge, the aroma of dinner fills the air, and while the Milky Way sprawls above, you enjoy some fine cuisine. Then, it is time to go to bed to enjoy the lodge luxuries for the last time. Rise and shine early when the African dawn beckons. Grab your binoculars and join your guide in the safari vehicle for a sunrise safari in the crisp air as the bush awakens. Back at the lodge, a hearty breakfast awaits. After bidding farewell to your cosy abode, you have some options. Go on another thrilling quad bike safari, a leisurely bush walk, or soak up the last moments in this wild paradise before departing for Johannesburg around noon. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
