Day 1
From the moment of entry into the country from Kigali International Airport, our driver guide will be set and ready to usher you into the land of a thousand hills with a short briefing about your trip. Proceed to the city immediately after your briefing to begin your exploration of probably the cleanest city in Africa. While on this city tour, expect to visit the genocide museums across the city to gain an insight into one of the most tragic stories in the history of mankind and pay your last respects to the victims. Brighten your mood afterwards with a tour of the Kimironko market, the biggest commercial market in the city, with a variety of goods from fabric to fresh foods like vegetables and fruits. Enjoy a local dish for your lunch in the city as you continue with your tour in the afternoon to the Inema Art Museum. Feel free to grab yourself a souvenir from the museum as you end your city tour, heading to your booked hotel for dinner and rest. Day 2
Rise with the early morning city dwellers for a hefty breakfast and later check out of the hotel. Our driver guide will then transfer you north to Volcanoes National Park, where you will have a memorable journey crossing through the tea plantations and an avenue of evergreen tropical rainforests, meandering around the hills. Arrive at your booked lodge in the park by noon and enjoy a delicious lunch while relaxing. Head to the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village in the afternoon for a cultural tour. You will be welcomed by a troupe of traditional singers and dancers to arouse your spirit in the cultural realm. Learn the ancient traditions of the Rwandan people, their ways of life, values, norms, and beliefs. Return to the lodge in the evening for your dinner and later rest for the night ahead. Mid-range hotel located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
Eager for a gorilla expedition to conclude, wake and have breakfast. Drive to the briefing center at the park headquarters after breakfast, the ranger guides will take you through the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking and the expected code of conduct. You will be grouped in groups of 8 people and assigned a gorilla family to trek. Traverse the rugged terrain and cool temperatures in higher altitudes, and before you know it, you will be in the mountain gorilla territory, face to face with these endangered species. An hour will be awarded to you in the presence of these gentle giants and watch them feed, play, and the females groom their babies. After your time with the mountain gorillas, return to the briefing center where the driver guide will drive you back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will check out, therefore concluding your stay in Volcanoes National Park. Hit the road to Kigali International Airport thereafter or to your preferred final destination. We chose this company thanks to a direct acquaintance of friends who work in Uganda. We couldn't have made a better choice! A 9-day tour starting in Entebbe, spending a night at the rhino sanctuary, reaching Murchison Falls, continuing on to Queen Elizabeth Park, and finishing the tour at Lake Mburo. Perfect organization, high professionalism, and maximum availability from Sympathy, who organized the tour for us months ago, and from Giuliano and Chris, who accompanied us on this wonderful adventure, providing us with tons of fun and becoming part of our family. More than a vacation, I would call it a life experience for both us and our children, which will remain forever in our hearts.

Look no further for your trip to any part of Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania. I am a seasoned traveller having visited over 100 countries and many parts of Africa. Allanblackia Safaris stood out for me. Before the trip, they gave suggestions, answered my many questions and adapted the trip to suit my wishes. When my trip across Uganda and Rwanda arrived, Sympathy was excellent from start to finish. Informative, reliable and showed me so much more than just 'the brochure.' 'I must just take you here...' Sympathy went above and beyond from start to finish. He also has strong family values and gives back to the community. Whilst we were away, a family got stung by a bogus Safari company. Sympathy sorted a trip for them quickly with another company. He said, 'Worry about payment later - lets sort your holiday first.' This is the measure of the man - a decent human being. So book with Allenblackia Safaris (the name of his dad's favourite tree by the way) and you will have an experience of a lifetime across your chosen African country. Thank you Allanblackia Safaris for being the best.
