Day 1
Guests are collected in Cape Town early in the morning and driven to Oudtshoorn, the “Ostrich Capital of the World” in the Little Karoo. The scenic drive follows the world-famous Route 62, known as the "longest wine route in the world". The afternoon in Oudtshoorn is spent exploring the magical Cango Caves, an intricate cave system located in Precambrian limestones at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. This is followed by a visit to a working ostrich farm. Guests can then savor an authentic Karoo dinner at the lodge restaurant before staying overnight in Oudtshoorn. Day 2
Wake up early to enjoy breakfast and then depart for the Wilderness area. The journey takes you over the historic Swartberg Mountain Pass, with a stop at the picturesque "Map of Africa" lookout point. This viewpoint offers a bird's-eye perspective of the Kaaimans River, creating an unmistakable outline of the African continent as it winds through the lush forest valley. Late morning, you arrive in Knysna. In the afternoon, you explore Knysna Heads and the renowned Knysna Waterfront and Knysna Quays. Later in the afternoon, the journey continues to Plettenberg Bay, with a stop at Bloukrans Bridge Bungy, one of the highest commercial bungee jumping spots in the world, standing 216 meters above the Bloukrans River. If time allows and for an additional fee, you can experience the thrill of bungee jumping off the Bloukrans Bridge, but booking in advance is essential. The day concludes with dinner served at the lodge restaurant. Budget hostel located at Storms River Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
After breakfast, depart for a hike in the glorious Tsitsikamma National Park, ending at the Storms River Mouth. You’ll walk across the Hanging Bridge and can swim in the warm Indian Ocean. Depart later for a scenic drive to the Garden Route Game Lodge for a late afternoon safari tour of the Big 5 private game reserve. Dinner is served at the lodge restaurant, and your overnight stay is at Garden Route Game Lodge. It has a vibrant street market, excellent restaurants, and wonderful cliffside walkways. Betty’s Bay is famous for its quirky colony of African penguins located at Stony Point. 5.0/5Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe

Martin took us through the reserve to locate the animals. He answered our questions and taught us so many things about the big 5
Dayo · Australia
We had a very good time at the Dumela Tented Camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guides on the game drives were really good. We had luck and could see many different animals.
Kerrin · Germany
Really enjoyable and informative tour which also included an eye opening tour of the poorer parts of Soweto. Our guide Thomas was excellent , very knowledgable about a number of key historical events . A top quality tour and highly recommended .
