This scenic transfer takes you through picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and charming local villages, offering a glimpse of East Africa’s rich culture and natural beauty. As you cross the border, prepare to enter one of the world’s most biodiverse rainforests, home to the rare mountain gorillas. The trip provides an excellent opportunity to unwind and take in stunning views while anticipating the incredible wildlife adventures awaiting you in Bwindi. Day 2
After an early morning start, you’ll take a short drive to the park headquarters for a general briefing. You’ll then be assigned to a group before heading into the forest to encounter the majestic mountain gorillas. Gorilla tracking usually lasts between 2 to 8 hours, and you’ll have the chance to spend at least one hour observing these incredible creatures up close. A packed lunch, provided by the lodge, is essential since the trek’s duration is unpredictable. Afterwards, you’ll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Uganda’s deepest and Africa’s second deepest lake for an overnight stay. The drive from Bwindi takes about two hours. Budget lodge located at Lake Bunyonyi (Uganda) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
After breakfast, embark on a scenic boat cruise across Lake Bunyonyi, exploring its many islands and enjoying the abundant birdlife the lake is famous for, especially its variety of small, colorful birds. Following the boat tour, you will journey to Volcanoes National Park for an overnight stay. If time permits, you’ll have the chance to experience local culture through a community visit before settling into your lodge for the night. Day 4
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park offices for a general briefing and to meet your group. Following this, your trek into the park will begin in search of the golden monkeys. These monkeys inhabit the bamboo forests near the park’s edge, where the terrain is relatively flat and easy to navigate. As you find and follow the golden monkeys feeding, you’ll observe their skillful way of picking the young bamboo leaves from the tips of the bamboo stalks. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch before continuing on to Kigali, either to your hotel or the airport, marking the end of the tour.
