Day 1
Cape Town to Kruger National Park
You can fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from either Cape Town. We will also meet you at Eastgate for transportation to Dumela Tented Camp. After some time to relax and enjoy the facilities, you will depart at 15h00 for a 3-hour afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon in an open safari vehicle. You'll get to see some of the park's most famous animals, before returning to camp at about 19h00 for a great boma fire dinner and a tranquil night under the stars. Day 2
Kruger National Park
You will get up early to be ready at 5:30 am for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before as it will be decided according to animal activity at the time to give you the best opportunity for game viewing. Your safari in Kruger will last about 7 to 8 hours, during which you will venture deep into the Orpen-Satara area. You will return to the camp with ample time to unwind and get ready for a starlit dinner around the fire. You'll wake up early to be ready for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park. Alternatively, you can choose a full-day Panorama Route tour that will take you along this exhilarating and iconic route. You will witness the following unforgettable landmarks: Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels, and Blyde River Canyon. You will return to the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner under the stars. After breakfast, it is time for goodbyes and your return shuttle to Johannesburg. You should arrive back at O.R. Tambo International Airport between 17h00 and 18h00. Optional extra (one of the following): - 1-hour bushwalk before breakfast (subject to availability), R350 per person sharing - 3-hour sunrise drive in Blue Canyon, Greater Kruger, R1,250 per person sharing (minimum 1 pax.). Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
