Go on a safari in one of South Africa's premier wildlife destinations--Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. Located in Kwazulu Natal, it is the oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa, 96000 Hectares of wilderness, rolling hills and magnificent wildlife, and is especially known for its healthy rhino population. In fact, due to conservation efforts, the park now has the largest population of white rhinos in the world and was THE key element in saving them from extinction in the 70s.

You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Durban to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
After arrival, a transfer will wait for you to take to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. The park is about a 3 hours drive from the airport. You will be staying at the only privately owned lodge in the park, Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you will still be able to join your first afternoon shared game drive in the park. Day 2
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will be woken up before sunrise for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. You will be out and about for ~3 hours, looking for wildlife together with your guide, before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day. When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a big cooked breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and just absorb being out in the bush. The afternoon game drive will start around 16:00, after lunch/high tea. It will last for another ~3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. Day 4
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi to Durban
Depending on when your flight departs from Durban Airport, go on a last shared game walk or game drive. After breakfast, you will then be taken back to the airport to board your flight back home, or to continue your travels in Africa. We will be happy to assist with any further arrangements required.
