Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Depart from the bus terminal at Johannesburg International Airport at 07h00 on a shared minibus to the city of Nelspruit where your driver will meet you and transfer you to the lodge. Check in to your Premium River-View room with a bathroom en suite and open balcony overlooking the river. Relax and take in the view of the Kruger National Park and view wildlife that may be close by. Perhaps have lunch (optional) in the restaurant, dip in the pool, or explore the large, well-maintained grounds and garden. Sometime after 3.30 pm, depending on the time of year you will be collected for your sunset safari drive into the KNP returning later in the evening to have dinner at the lodge. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the bush and connect with nature around you as you relax under the African stars on the lodge's open deck. Have a late evening swim or buy a drink from the bar. The lodge has wifi so you can share your first pictures and message with friends and family. Mid-range lodge located just outside Southern Kruger NP Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
This morning, you'll arise early at dawn and go for your sunrise safari with the park ranger. This is a special time of day as the Kruger awakens and comes to life. By now you should have heard the iconic fish eagles cry, common along the river. Hopefully, there will be a matriarchal herd of elephants with babies or a savage but necessary lion kill, perhaps a majestic giraffe or a herd of stern-looking African buffalo. There are thrilling encounters around every corner! Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the middle of the day at leisure. Relax at the pool or spend time enjoying the views from your Premium River View room balcony or from deck at the restaurant. Lunch can be enjoyed on the deck at Pestana Kruger Lodge which overlooks the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park (at your own cost). Later this afternoon you will be collected for your late afternoon/sunset open vehicle safari and after your game drive, return to Pestana Kruger Lodge for dinner. Mid-range lodge located just outside Southern Kruger NP Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
This morning after an early breakfast, your guide will collect you for an exciting day on the Panorama Route. This route is situated along the edge of the highveld (highlands) escarpment. The escarpment divides the temperate highlands of South Africa from the much warmer lowlands which contain Kruger National Park. Its jagged edges protrude high above the lowland plains. The road follows these and reveals astounding vistas from its viewpoints such as God's Window. It is also the location of many beautiful waterfalls and its high point is one of the world's deepest river canyons; The Blyde River Canyon. There are also strange geological formations formed where the Blyde (happy) River meets the Treur (sorrowful) River called Bourke's Luck Potholes. The climatic conditions along this route are in contrast to the hot drier KNP, it is misty and cool most of the year. Pancakes both savoury and sweet have become a local dish and we shall sample them for lunch. Return to Pestana by 6:00 pm. Mid-range lodge located 2-3hr drive from Panorama Route (Highlight) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 4
Go for your last safari drive at dawn in the KNP. Please note, it is possible to change any of your morning game drives in this safari to safari walks. This one or the one on day 2 can be changed. But this needs to be arranged in advance and you must let us know at least a week or two before your trip. A walk in the bush gives an entirely different perspective to driving. After breakfast at the lodge, you will be collected by our driver and start your journey back to Johannesburg. (Arrival back in Johannesburg is between 17h30 and 18h00). If you're going on to Cape Town, there is a very convenient flight leaving at lunchtime every day from a local airport and we can drop you there (in which case we refund/discount the cost of the shuttle back to Johannesburg). If pushed for time we can fly you in and out to a local airport at a surprisingly little extra cost. Please ask us about the price of this extra option. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5Awesome tour. Well worth the early wake up. Was truly an epic experience seeing so many animals up close. Lion, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos and rhinos to name a few. Our guide Willem was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Can’t go wrong with this experience

We booked a Botswana safari with Mmilo Tours and were very impressed with the communication and service we received from Norman throughout the booking process and leading up to the safari. All in all, everything went smoothly and we would definitely book with Mmilo Tours again.

For our first trip to South Africa, I looked for an animal sighting tour that would accommodate the needs of our family party, including myself, my 85 y/o mother, and an 18 y/o nephew. Our Choice could not have been better. Mmilo Tours offered us exactly what we were looking for, a private 2-day tour to Pillanersberg in a comfortable SUV just for us and definitely the most knowledgeable guide in the country, Mr. Willem Heckroodt. Apart from knowing the geography of South Africa in detail, which meant a lot to us since I am a professor in physical geography and my mum Emerita in the same field, Willem is a great conversationalist and a professional who anticipates and caters to all your needs. He excels in every aspect you would expect from a tourist Guide and made us feel at ease at all times, turning the trip into a unique learning experience and a relaxing and pleasurable one. I am incredibly grateful for his efforts to make the whole experience easy for my octagenarian mother, such as producing a plastic step stool to help her access the vehicle. Hence, I thoroughly recommend the services of Mmilo Tours without a hint of hesitation; they have always been helpful and proactive since our first contact. Their highly professional attitude has added to our satisfaction with the South African experience and made us wish to come back soon.

Mmilo Tours was the only organizer who offered a tour to my satisfaction in the way I wanted to do it. Unfortuneatly I was very short on time and wanted to make the best of it. This customer centricity and flexibility by Mmilo Tours is outstanding. The booking and communications were fast and reliable, everything was arranged exactly as discribed before. My tour guide was very experienced and I had a great time.
