Cape Town to Hoedspruit

Day 1

Cape Town to Hoedspruit

You will arrive at Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport via Cape Town. You will be met at Eastgate for transportation to and from Kapama Game Reserve. We arrange this transfer from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport to Kapama Private Game Reserve in plenty of time for you to freshen up and eat before embarking on an afternoon game drive into the reserve with your ranger and tracker. You will stop for a sundowner along the way, allowing you to stretch your legs while watching the sunset over the distant Drakensberg Mountains. As nightfall approaches, the nocturnal animals of the bush emerge. During the trip back to the resort at night, a variety of distinct species might be observed. The adept tracker will sweep the landscape with a flashlight, highlighting the animals' eyes. Arrival at the lodge is usually around 19h00, leaving ample time to freshen up before dinner. Day 2

Kapama Private Game Reserve

You'll get up between 05h00 and 05h30 for tea, coffee, and rusks before heading out on a morning game drive or bush walk. Because of the reserve's colder temperatures, wildlife is typically more active in the morning, and the softer light makes for excellent photography. After a delicious breakfast at the camp, you'll have time to relax by the pool, read a good book, and take advantage of the rest of the lodge's amenities. After a sumptuous high tea, you will go on an afternoon wildlife drive that may last past twilight. The day will invariably conclude with a delicious dinner and a discussion of the day's sightings. Accommodation is provided at Kapama Southern Camp. Luxury lodge located inside Kapama GR (Greater Kruger) All meals included All drinks (Premium wines & liquors might be excluded)

Day 4

Kapama Private Game Reserve

The final day of your safari will begin with an early morning wildlife drive and, hopefully, a few more unforgettable sightings. After the drive, you will have another hearty breakfast at the camp before being transferred to the Eastgate Airport for your return flight. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) All drinks (Premium wines & liquors might be excluded)

Awesome!

Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe

Martin took us through the reserve to locate the animals. He answered our questions and taught us so many things about the big 5

Always a quick response, if there were any questions.

We had a very good time at the Dumela Tented Camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guides on the game drives were really good. We had luck and could see many different animals.
