Arrival and Sunset Safari
Your transfer will meet you at 07h00 at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and drive you to your accommodation at Kubu Safari Lodge in Hoedspruit. You will arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch around 12h30 (at your own cost). You will check in at 14h00. Your first excursion on this immersive bushveld experience is a 3-hour sunset drive in the Khaya Ndlovu Private Game Reserve, departing at 15h00. Khaya Game Reserve provides a breathtaking sanctuary for some of Africa’s rarest and most iconic wildlife species, including rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards. Experience the majesty of the African sunset over the bushveld, with sundowners and snacks provided, before heading back to the lodge for dinner at 18h30. You will depart early in the morning, around 05h00, for the world-famous Kruger National Park for a thrilling safari that offers unparalleled viewing of the Big 5 and other unforgettable wildlife encounters. Immerse yourself in the abundance and beauty of the Kruger bush before returning to your lodge for a relaxing evening and a hearty dinner. Bottled water will be provided during your Kruger safari. Full-day Panorama Route Tour
Today brings a new experience with a full-day excursion to the awe-inspiring Panorama Route. One of South Africa's most scenic regions, the Panorama Route refers to the escarpment in Mpumalanga Province, where the Drakensberg Mountains separate the Highveld from the Lowveld to the east. It's easy to see why it's such a famous tourist attraction. The area is replete with stunning waterfalls, gorgeous vistas, natural phenomena, and a breathtaking canyon. On this full-day tour, you will visit iconic attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and God's Window. Lunch will be en route. You also have the chance to explore local towns and enjoy scenic viewpoints along the route before returning to your lodge in the evening in time for dinner. On your last morning, you have the choice to unwind at the lodge for the day or join an optional 3-hour morning safari adventure (additional cost of R1,250). Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
