5.0/5The tour was great. We had wonderful guides who showed us so many animals and told us a lot about their behaviour and their way of life. To me these days belong to the highlights in my life.

I spent six unforgettable days in South Luangwa National Park, staying at Mopani Safari Lodge. It’s a fantastic place to relax and also a perfect base for exploring the bush on safari. The chalet I stayed in fully deserves a 5-star rating – it was spacious, comfortable, and always impeccably clean. The staff at the lodge were extremely helpful and attentive, both during my time at the lodge and out in the field while photographing. I especially appreciated how much care was taken to ensure our safety and comfort – something that’s truly important for a wildlife photographer. The food was excellent – freshly prepared and delicious, whether served at the lodge or during game drives. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mopani Safari Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic safari experience in Zambia – whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or simply seeking peaceful time in the wilderness. A few words are enough to describe my experience with my family (mum, dad and 11 year old) in the national parks of Zambia in June this year: a wonderful country and a fantastic trip !!! And all this thanks to the services booked through Wilderness Horizon Safaris. In my life I have been lucky enough to travel (both alone and with my family) to many countries in the world and to use the services of many local travel agencies: I believe that Wilderness Horizon Safaris is definitely the best agency I have ever dealt with. From the first contacts via email they have proven to be very efficient, timely and clear in their answers to my numerous questions and extremely correct and honest in the prices offered. And when we needed a "change of program" during the trip (transfer by plane instead of by car as initially planned in the agreed program) they were very quick and efficient in resolving everything in an instant as well as attentive in making sure that everything was ok for us. If you decide to travel to Zambia and visit its wonderful national parks, my advice is to rely on Wilderness Horizon Safaris specifying what your needs are, your budget, etc. and they will find the best choices and accommodations for you. Thanks again to Eva, David, Daniel and all the staff of Wilderness Horizon Safaris for the wonderful experience they made us live on our trip to Zambia !!!

I contacted this company two months before my holiday with the desire to go on a safari in Zambia. Before that, I had safari experience in South Africa, Tanzania and Botswana. The safari was in April. This is not a popular season for safaris in Zambia - many lodges and parks are still closed, there are few tourists yet. It is considered that this is still the rainy season, although it is the very end of it. Due to the small number of tourists during the rainy season, there were difficulties with flights. I want to say thanks to "Wilderness Horizon Safaris" - by rearranging the parks, negotiating with the lodges and the airline, they were able to organize all the flights according to the program at no extra charge for me. When flying to Lower Zambezi, I was the only passenger on the plane! I was in three parks - three nights in Kafue (Mukambi Safari Lodge), three nights in Lower Zambezi and three nights in South Luangwa (Mopani Safari Lodge). In Lower Zambezi I was upgraded to a better lodge than planned (to the Royal Lodge) and it was the most luxurious lodge I have ever been to. The other lodges on the program were also very decent, although I didn't really like the managers at Mopani. The entire safari went without a single problem. The transfers were on time, the manager periodically wrote to me with reminders about the next steps. Despite the rainy season, I saw many animals for which I came here - wild dogs, leopards, genets and others. I even managed to see a successful lionesses hunt during the night game drive.
