Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
From the airport or your lodge in Nairobi, transfer to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The short journey offers sweeping aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and rolling savannahs. Arrive mid‑morning and transfer to camp, followed by a short rest as you wait to start a mid-morning game drive. Have a picnic lunch as you set out on your afternoon game drive across the Mara’s vast plains, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes roam freely. The reserve is also famed for its predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards, and during the great migration, immense herds of wildebeest and zebras. Return at sunset for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. Day 2
Masai Mara National Reserve Experience
Day 2 begins with an early start at your lodge or camp before heading out for a full-day game drive across the breathtaking Masai Mara. As the sun rises, the savannah comes alive with activity. This is prime time to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and possibly leopards on the hunt. After breakfast at the lodge, we drive you across diverse landscapes, from open grasslands to riverine forests, increasing your chances of seeing the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino - along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. A scenic picnic lunch in the wild provides a unique and peaceful experience. The afternoon drive offers more wildlife sightings, including elephants at waterholes and lions resting in the shade. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation under the stars, reflecting on a truly unforgettable safari experience. Day 3
Full Day Game Drive
Awake to the sounds of the savannah and set out for a morning game drive across the Masai Mara, exploring its rolling plains and riverine forests. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps predators returning from the night’s hunt. Return to camp for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll be welcomed with song and dance, learn about their customs, and gain insight into their pastoral way of life. This cultural encounter offers a deeper connection to the land and its people. Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight, with the evening spent reflecting on both wildlife and culture. Day 4
Enjoy Masai Mara National Park
Awake before dawn for an optional hot‑air balloon safari, drifting silently above the Mara as the sun rises over the savannah. From this breathtaking vantage point, watch herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains, and predators beginning their day’s hunt. After landing, enjoy a bush breakfast served in the wild. If not taking the balloon, set out on an early morning game drive to catch wildlife at its most active. Return to camp for a short rest before heading out again. The day unfolds with extended game drives across different corners of the reserve, from riverine forests to rolling grasslands, each offering new encounters with elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and countless bird species. Pause for a picnic lunch in the heart of the Mara, then continue exploring until sunset paints the sky in hues of gold and crimson. Return to camp for dinner and overnight, reflecting on a day immersed in the magic of the Mara. From your lodge or camp in the Masai Mara, enjoy a relaxed breakfast while taking in the final views of the savannah. Transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. The short journey offers sweeping aerial views of the Mara’s plains, the Great Rift Valley, and Kenya’s patchwork landscapes below. Arrive directly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in the late morning or early afternoon, perfectly timed for your onward international departure or connection.
