Ivory Moon Arrival & Sunset Safari
Take a morning flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit Airport, (flight included, quoted at a fixed rate but may vary at time of booking). Upon arrival, transfer to Ivory Moon Lodge and check into your luxurious accommodations. Enjoy a delicious lunch at 13:30. At 15:00, set out on a 3-hour sunset drive in Blue Canyon Reserve with sundowners and snacks. Return to Ivory Moon Lodge between 19:00–19:30 for dinner. Full Day Panorama Route Tour & Night Drive
08:20–08:40: Depart for a full-day Panorama Route tour, where you will be thrilled by the awe-inspiring Drakensberg escarpment, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking vistas of Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s Window. Option: Guests may opt to swap the Panorama Route tour for an additional full-day Kruger National Park safari to pursue more Big 5 sightings (subject to availability, no extra cost). This must be booked in advance. 16:30: Return to the lodge and unwind around a crackling fire as the sun sets over the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. 18:30: Savor an early dinner, featuring authentic South African cuisine. 19:30: Set out on a 1-hour night drive through the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in an open safari vehicle equipped with a high-powered spotlight, illuminating the African night. This thrilling experience brings the magic of the African night to life. 21:00: Return to the lodge for one last toast around the fire. Led by expert guides, this thrilling adventure lets you explore the bush on foot. 07:30: Return to the lodge for a final delicious breakfast on the viewing deck, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bush, offering a moment to reflect on your extraordinary safari journey. 10:30: Check out from the lodge and transfer to OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, arriving around 17:00– 18:00. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
