Overview
At 5,199 m, Mount Kenya is the second-highest peak in Africa. It is an ancient extinct volcano, which during its period of activity (3.1-2.6 million years ago) is thought to have risen to 6,500 m. There are 12 remnant glaciers on the mountain, all receding rapidly, and four secondary peaks that sit at the head of the U-shaped glacial valleys. With its rugged glacier-clad summits and forested middle slopes, Mount Kenya is one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa.

Day 1
Nairobi - Mount Kenya
You'll leave Nairobi at 8.00 am for Nanyuki, which normally takes 4hrs drive, arriving at 12.00. Then, you'll proceed to Mt Kenya National Park, Sirimon gate. A picnic lunch will be provided. After lunch, you'll follow the track uphill for 10 kilometers, forking left at the junction to reach Old Moses Camp, which is situated at 3,300m. The ascent from Sirimon Gate. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at a budget hotel. Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 2
Mount Kenya
After breakfast, you'll leave at 8.00 am, follow the directions for the direct route, until you reach the fork after one hour. The track becomes a path, and swings right and south around the head of a large valley, crossing several small streams to reach the crest of the ridge between the Otulili and Liki North Valleys. You'll have a walk of 3 to 4 hours to the Liki North Hut at 3,993m. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp. All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 3
Old Moses Mount Kenya
After breakfast, you'll ascend the west side of the Valley, over a ridge, then down into Mackinder's Valley to meet the direct route, taking one to two hours. From here, follow Mackinder's Valley to reach Shipton's Camp, a total of 4 hours from Liki to Shipton's Camp at 4,250m. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay. Day 4
Mount Kenya
You'll wake early at 2:30 AM, ready to hike to Point Lenana 4985. On a clear day, you should be able to see Mt. Kilimanjaro in the south. Mt Elgon to the end of the Indian Ocean to the east. After Point Lenana, you will descend to Shipton for dinner and an overnight stay at Old Moses. All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Day 5
Mount Kenya - Nairobi

I had a 4 days tour with outerworld team, Masai Mara, Nakuru lake and Naivasha lake. I went there with my wife, and it was our first experience in Kenya and as a safari. It was very nice, well organized, and gave us the possibility to visit those areas mostly with a jeep and on somme short slots by feet (Crescent Island, Hell’s gate). Hotels were ok and as proposed in the offer. Contacts with the agency where very efficients and useful, always trying to find the good way to match our requests while managing a group tour. Result is a very nice tour for an amount that was competitive compared to the other offers I had received. But the game changer was clearly the availability and efficiency of my contact at the agency. Our driver has been nice too, looking for the best spots to see animals, and being really a guide at different steps.

Good and interesting
The tour was good and splendid would like it too next year. I had to even go ahead climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and it was just something else, I cld never imagine myself climbing but there I was with full energy. I thought I couldn't but I tried to my best.. Serengeti was there too. And I enjoyed watching the animals from a distance.
