Brace for your inaugural game drive to Skukuza camp, where a mesmerizing wildlife encounter awaits. As the sun rises, explore areas teeming with wildlife, unveiling unique moments in Kruger’s captivating landscape. Kruger National Park, a sanctuary for the iconic Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo, offers a diversity of large mammals like giraffes, zebras, impalas, and kudus. Rivers harbor massive crocodiles and hippos, while the elusive cheetah may grace us. Mid-morning, a scenic picnic site awaits, where breakfast is served against the backdrop of the park’s beauty. After breakfast, return to camp to relax and enjoy facilities. Lunch at camp, after an afternoon drive, extending our quest for Kruger’s diverse wildlife. At sunset, return to camp for a brief respite before an own-expense dinner at the camp’s restaurant. The night unfolds with a thrilling Kruger night-drive, led by a ranger armed with a spotlight, offering glimpses into the nocturnal realm. Day 3
Skukuza to Satara
We begin with a sunrise coffee, setting the tone for a engaging day. A Sabie River safari drive unfolds, offering prime wildlife sightings. After returning to Skukuza for breakfast, enjoy a serene moment by the river before the journey north to Satara. En route, a picnic site stop provides refreshments and picturesque views. Traverse lion territories, potentially spotting prides and the rare white lion. Arriving at Satara by midday, enjoy an own-expense lunch and leisure time to explore camp facilities. An afternoon drive explores the surrounding area. Accommodation at Satara for the next two nights includes traditional thatched African huts, Rondawels, two single beds, a private washroom, toilet, shower, ceiling fan, air-conditioning, and fridge. Satara, nestled in Kruger’s grasslands, attracts grazing animals, offering exceptional wildlife viewing. A waterhole outside camp provides chances to spot animals. As dawn breaks, we gather for a quick coffee and rusks before exploring Satara's surroundings. Targeting well-known areas, we seek another encounter with the "Big 5." A scenic picnic site offers a delightful breakfast break during our wildlife viewing. Returning to camp, a rest period allows time to unwind, with options like a refreshing dip in the pool or leisurely shopping at the curios shop. Lunch is served before our final sunset drive, capturing the beauty of the African bush. Back at camp, another enchanting African sunset unfolds by the campfire. A delicious bush-cooked meal sets the stage for lively conversations, recounting the extraordinary bush experience. Day 5
Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
We begin the day with an invigorating bush walk guided by a seasoned Kruger ranger, immersing you in enchanting surroundings. Track footprints, observe wildlife, and discover intricate details often overlooked from a vehicle. After your return, a substantial breakfast awaits before bidding farewell to Satara and embarking on one last safari drive towards the Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate. At 11 am, our guide drops you off at the Hoedspruit transfer meeting point, marking the start of your return journey to Johannesburg. The transfer includes a breathtaking ascent up the Drakensberg Escarpment, offering picturesque vistas. Expect to reach O.R. Tambo Airport between 5 and 6 pm. Perfect safari experience
At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari. We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more. Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here. If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again. Many thanks to the entire Team.

It was perfect!
We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. Wonderful Trip!
We had a wonderful time touring Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safari. We did an extended north to south tour and our guides, Eric and Ryan were great. Hope was our cook and his meals were wonderful! Thale took care of all the administrative details and was wonderful to work with. We hope to be able to do this again in the future!
