Day 1
Your experience begins with a private collection from Cape Town International Airport (CPT), ensuring a smooth and comfortable start to your journey. From there, enjoy a scenic drive inland with a stop in the beautiful Robertson Wine Valley, where you’ll savour a relaxed wine tasting at one of the region’s acclaimed estates. Continue onward to Garden Route Game Lodge, arriving in time for an afternoon guided game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, shared with fellow lodge guests. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, set out in search of the iconic Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino — while learning about the reserve’s diverse wildlife and ecosystems. The day concludes with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay in luxury chalets at Garden Route Game Lodge, offering comfort and elegance in the heart of the bush. Day 2
Enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure, with the option of an additional game drive should you wish to venture out into the bush once more. Private upgrades are also available on request for a more exclusive experience. Thereafter, depart over the picturesque Robinson Pass into the heart of the Little Karoo, where dramatic mountain landscapes and open plains create a striking backdrop. Visit Highgate Ostrich Show Farm for a guided tour, learning about these fascinating birds while enjoying engaging, interactive experiences. Continue to the Swartberg region for a scenic lunch stop at Kobus se Gat, known for its authentic charm and warm hospitality. In the afternoon, explore the impressive Cango Caves on the standard heritage tour. Day 3
Begin the day with a gentle canoeing adventure along the serene Touw River in Wilderness National Park. Thereafter, travel to Tsitsikamma National Park, where you’ll walk to the famous suspension bridges at Storms River Mouth. Day 4
Start the day with a morning visit to Knysna Elephant Park, where you’ll enjoy a guided walk and a memorable interaction with rescued elephants. Thereafter, take a ferry across the Knysna Lagoon to Featherbed Nature Reserve. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
