Day 1
Begin at 07h00 with a transfer from Johannesburg International Airport. The journey to Hazyview, 15 minutes from the Kruger gates, offers a scenic route that builds anticipation for the wildlife wonders ahead. Arriving around 12h30, your Wild Planet Guide awaits. Enjoy a self-paid lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we drive to Kruger Park. In the afternoon, we set out on your first safari. Capture the essence of Africa as you encounter diverse wildlife on the way to Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp. Set against Kruger’s mountainous terrain, Berg-en-Dal becomes your home for the first night. Experience traditional chalets with thatched roofs, twin beds, a private washroom, and a small kitchen. Nestled in a region with the highest rainfall in Kruger, Berg-en-Dal offers stunning riverine forests. This lush environment is a sanctuary for elephants and leopards and boasts the highest concentration of rhinos. As the sun sets, we prepare dinner while soaking in the sounds of the African bush. Day 2
Begin with a sunrise safari at Matjulu waterhole, a prime spot for spotted hyenas. Following the Matjulu River, known for African wild dogs, promises thrilling wildlife sightings against the awakening wilderness. After breakfast, we bid farewell to Berg-en-Dal and journey north through savannah grasslands, where white rhinos often appear. This drive offers endless opportunities to marvel at the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife, including antelope, zebras, and giraffes, as we head to Skukuza. Skukuza Rest Camp, the administrative hub, is nestled along the Sabie River. Its numerous riverine trees provide a tranquil backdrop for your stay. Enjoy lunch at the camp restaurant (own expense). The area is known for lion sightings and established lion territories. We'll look for a pride of 20 members in the afternoon. As night falls, enjoy dinner at our bush restaurant. The ambiance of the African bush, combined with freshly prepared meals, creates an unforgettable dining experience. Day 3
Start with a sunrise safari along the Sabie River. This area boasts the highest density of leopards in Kruger. The Sabie River is home to hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife. After breakfast at camp, we head north to Satara, passing through diverse terrains and lion territories. Keep an eye out for the rare white lion. We'll pause for drinks at a picnic site. Arriving at midday, enjoy lunch and explore the camp's facilities. Satara, nestled in Kruger's grasslands, provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. A waterhole just outside the camp fence is perfect for observing animals. After lunch, relax and explore amenities, including a shop and swimming pool. As the day cools, embark on an afternoon drive to explore the grasslands, known for predator-prey interactions. Enjoy an own-expense dinner at the camp restaurant. The highlight is a Kruger night drive, where spotlights reveal big cats and nocturnal creatures. Our guides will provide insights into their behaviors. Start with an early morning drive along the N’wanetsi River road. This route offers diverse habitats - dense vegetation for spotting leopards and open plains for cheetahs. It's also known for frequent lion sightings, making it ideal for observing predators. After our morning adventure, we return to Satara Rest Camp for breakfast. Over a delicious meal, we reflect on the morning's encounters. Once refreshed, we head to Letaba Rest Camp, passing through varying landscapes with unique wildlife. At Letaba, we enjoy stunning views of the Letaba River. The camp offers amenities like a park shop, swimming pool, restaurant, and The Great Elephant Hall Museum. After lunch, we embark on an afternoon drive along the Letaba River, known for buffalos, elephants, and leopards. Capture these iconic animals, along with hippos, crocodiles, and antelopes. Tonight, enjoy a traditional dinner cooked over an open fire. The braai's aromas fill the air as you gather for a meal infused with local flavors. Then, enjoy lunch in Graskop (at your own expense) for local flavors. Visit God’s Window for breathtaking Lowveld views, followed by Berlin Falls and Lisbon Falls for perfect photography spots. The day ends at Three Rondavels in Blyde River Canyon, with striking rock formations resembling African huts. Arriving at Forever Resort, settle into comfortable chalets with amenities. Dinner is prepared by our chef at your chalet, offering a relaxed dining experience under the African sky. Along the way, picturesque landscapes and brief stops at scenic viewpoints and craft markets add to the journey's charm. Arriving at O.R. Tambo Airport between 17h00 and 18h00 ensures ample time for onward flight check-ins. We recommend booking domestic flights from 20h00 and international from 21h00. At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari. We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more. Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here. If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again. Many thanks to the entire Team.

We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. But we will come back, and in the meantime, we will recommend Wild Planet Safari (with Eric) to all our friends. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, Eric. We are glad to have met you.

We had a wonderful time touring Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safari. We did an extended north to south tour and our guides, Eric and Ryan were great. Hope was our cook and his meals were wonderful! Thale took care of all the administrative details and was wonderful to work with. We hope to be able to do this again in the future!
