Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you embark on a full-day safari in the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, with a hot air balloon safari in the morning, and a picnic lunch enjoyed in the heart of the savannah. This world-famous reserve is celebrated for its dense wildlife population, including the legendary black-maned lions and an abundance of plains game. It’s one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—often within a single game drive. The Mara is also known for its relaxed cheetahs, frequently seen resting under safari vehicles or scanning the plains from elevated viewpoints. Fly from Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park via Wilson Airport & Arusha
You'll begin your day with an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast before checking out for an exciting journey from the Masai Mara National Reserve to the Serengeti National Park. You will enjoy a final en-route game drive as you transfer to Keekorok Airstrip for your scheduled flight via Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Arusha Airport. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will be met and transferred to Seronera Wildlife Lodge, where you will check in and enjoy a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, you will set out on a thrilling game drive across the vast Serengeti plains, renowned for their endless horizons and incredible biodiversity. You'll witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes, along with predators such as lions and cheetahs in their natural habitat. You'll enjoy a relaxed morning before breakfast at your lodge, then check out with a picnic lunch for a scenic transfer from Serengeti National Park to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As these iconic destinations are connected, you will experience an exciting en-route game drive across wildlife-rich plains. Along the way, you'll spot giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, and vast herds of wildebeest roaming freely in their natural habitat. Day 6
Descent to Ngorongoro Crater
You'll wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast before checking out of the lodge for a memorable descent into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s unique wildlife destinations. You'll enjoy a full game drive across the crater floor, often called the “Cradle of Life,” where wildlife thrives year-round regardless of season. Here, you will spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino—alongside large herds of zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and gazelles. The crater also hosts rich birdlife, including flamingos, ostriches, crowned cranes, kori bustards, and various eagles and vultures. Surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes, grasslands, forests, and soda lakes, the crater offers some of the most scenic safari views in Africa. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while observing wildlife at close range. In the afternoon, you ascend the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha and to Nairobi. A Wonderful Masai Mara Safari Experience We had an amazing safari experience, made even better by our guide, Francis. His skill and knowledge allowed us to get incredibly close to wildlife, giving us unforgettable moments. In just one day, we saw an impressive variety of animals including lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and even a leopard resting in a tree. Of course, we also spotted giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and hyenas. Every moment of the trip was exciting and memorable. Francis was not only highly experienced but also very friendly, making the entire journey enjoyable and comfortable.
