Day 2
Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, an Elephant Paradise
Your Lion King Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffes, bushbuckS, and hartebeest, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity. Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park. Day 3
Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop and take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Following this, you will continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area until you reach the southern part of Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park is truly spectacular, known for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. While it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, it is especially famous for its incredible annual migration. Depending on the time of year you visit, you may witness one of the seven wonders of the natural world, as vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate in search of water and fresh grass. You'll indulge in a delightful picnic lunch and experience a magical overnight stay in exceptional accommodations nestled within the breathtaking Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater, a Big Five Haven
After a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying spectacular views and wildlife along the way. You'll spend an unforgettable afternoon exploring this natural wonder before heading to your accommodation in Karatu. Encircled by volcanic walls, Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking sanctuary teeming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features golden savannahs, shimmering lakes, lush swamps, and acacia woodlands. Formed over two million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, it is the world’s largest unbroken caldera. Descending into the crater is an adventure, offering unparalleled views at every turn. On the crater floor, you’ll find herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species, from flamingos to crowned cranes. Walking Safari & Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park, then Transfer to the Airport
This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park—your final destination on this epic safari! Lake Manyara National Park is a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. Everything you will see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary). The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and look out for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. Exceptional Safari Experience Thanks to an Expert Guide
I had a wonderful experience with Lion King Adventures, and a huge part of that was due to my guide, Mwita. From the beginning, Mwita took excellent care of me and made my safety a clear priority, which meant a lot as a solo traveler. He is extremely professional, calm, and reassuring. Mwita is originally from the Serengeti and knows the parks and surrounding areas incredibly well, which really showed throughout the trip. His wildlife spotting skills are outstanding — he consistently spotted animals that I was missing. With nearly 20 years of guiding experience, it was obvious that he truly knows what he is doing and understands animal behavior, terrain, and timing extremely well. Overall, I felt safe, well taken care of, and confident in his abilities the entire time. I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures, and especially Mwita, to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and professional safari guide.

Incredible experience!
We just finished a 6 day safari with Lion King adventures, and we couldn’t have had a better experience! We went in February for the calving season and great migration - the weather was perfect and we saw so many animals (all of the big 5 and so much more!). Our guide, Murshid, really made the whole experience amazing. He was the best at preempting the animals movements and positioning the safari truck for optional viewing. He also had so much knowledge of the local area and the animals - he was a very impressive guide. One of the highlights was that we were heading home for the night when he got news of some lion cubs, and he didn’t hesitate to turn around and head straight to the lion cubs for us to see - he really went above and beyond to make our whole experience excellent. All in all we had a great trip - we saw over 20 lions, leopard, cheetahs, hyenas etc. and the weather was amazing!

From the very beginning, we had a wonderful experience with Lion King Adventures. Peter and Florida were amazing. The communication was very smooth and friendly. They always answered very quickly to all our questions, requests, etc. They planned the perfect trip for us according to our budget and wishes. The whole trip was very well organized, from the pick up from the airport (thanks Charly), the lodges and excursions to the drop off at the airport. You don’t need to worry about anything, just enjoy the trip. We had our private car with our private driver/tour guide Goodluck who was amazing. He has such a great knowledge, (about wildlife, Flora and fauna, Tanzania, Africa), happy and positive personality, is an excellent safe driver and always went the extra mile to make sure our special requests we had during the trip were taken care of. He made everything possible for us which we appreciated a lot. We couldn’t wish for a better guide and travel companion. He made our Safari very special. It was truly an amazing and unforgettable trip for us. We will come back for sure and of course will book our next trip with Lion King Adventures again.
