Day 1
Begin at 7 am from O.R. Tambo, the 5-hour journey to Hazyview, 15 minutes from Kruger gates, unfolds through a scenic route, expecting wildlife wonders. Arriving around 12:30, your Wild Planet Safari Guide awaits, offering an immersive experience. Enjoy an own-expense lunch at a local restaurant before the next leg of your journey. After lunch, a short drive to Phabeni Gate, Kruger's entrance, starts your inaugural safari afternoon. Capture untamed Africa's essence on your way to Berg en Dal rest camp. Set against Kruger’s mountainous backdrop, Berg en Dal offers traditional African chalets with a thatched roof, twin beds, private washroom, small kitchen, and cozy patio. Nestled in Kruger’s highest rainfall region, Berg en Dal offers a picturesque panorama with riverine forests along waterways, a refuse for elephants, leopards, and the highest rhino density. At sun set, arrive at camp for an evening of culinary delights. Prepare dinner, soaking in the sounds by a crackling fire. Day 2
A friendly coffee gathering sets the stage for an enchanting sunrise safari drive. We navigate along winding rivers, seeking leopards and enjoying the breathtaking landscape. Our wildlife wish list includes elephants, white rhinos, and, if lucky, the rare black rhino. We pause at a charming picnic spot for a delightful bush breakfast surrounded by nature. By late morning, return to Berg en Dal camp to unwind and explore. Whether a dip in the pool, shopping, moments by the waterhole, or a stroll along the walking trail, there's something for everyone. Mid-day brings a delicious lunch at the camp. As the sun descends, get ready for another safari drive through Kruger's vibrant wilderness. The park is a wildlife haven, promising glimpses of Africa’s majestic creatures. Upon returning, soak in the evening atmosphere around a crackling fire. Dinner, prepared over open flames, becomes a culinary delight heightened by the soothing sounds of the wild. Day 3
Begin with a sunrise safari in Kruger's southern reaches. Starting at the Matjulu waterhole, witness lively spotted hyenas and explore the Matjulu River, known for encounters with African Wild Dogs. After a delicious breakfast back at camp, we bid farewell to Berg en Dal, heading north through vast savannah grasslands, where White Rhinos often appear. The 3-hour drive takes us to Skukuza, Kruger's largest camp and administrative hub, nestled along the scenic Sabie River. Upon arrival, check in, and enjoy an own expense lunch at the camp restaurant. Unwind and explore camp offerings, including a refreshing pool, a Park Shop, a museum, Wi-Fi hotspot, a Sabie River walkway, and benches for scenic views. Midday, our exploration of the Skukuza area offers lion sighting opportunities. With established lion territories, we look for a pride known to have an impressive 20 members. As night falls, relish a delightful dinner under the stars at our makeshift bush restaurant. Mid-range rest camp located inside Southern Kruger NP All meals included Drinks not included
Day 4
We commence with a sunrise safari along the Sabie River, aiming to spot the elusive leopard. This area boasts Kruger's highest leopard density. The Sabie River, with hippos, crocodiles, and diverse wildlife, promises a rich spectacle. After breakfast at camp, head north toward Satara. Stop for drinks at a picnic site, traversing lion territories where well-known prides roam. With luck we may spot a rare white lion. Arrive at Satara by midday, just in time for lunch. Unwind, explore camp facilities, and prepare for an afternoon drive. Satara, nestled in Kruger's grasslands, is a haven for grazing animals, providing excellent wildlife viewing. A waterhole outside camp allows convenient observation. As evening descends, opt for an own-expense dinner at the camp restaurant before a thrilling Kruger night drive. This nocturnal adventure unveils the world of prowling big cats, with chances to encounter smaller nocturnal creatures like civets, genets, owls, porcupines, and honey badgers. Mid-range rest camp located inside Central Kruger NP Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 5
Your safari kicks off with an early morning drive in the Satara area. We hope to spot the predators that inhabit this region, such as leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and wild dogs. With luck, we may witness a predator on the hunt, creating a unique safari experience. Enjoy a delightful breakfast at a scenic picnic site before returning to camp. Back at camp, use the midday heat to relax and enjoy the facilities. Whether it's a leisurely walk along the fence to spot some animals or a refreshing swim, the options are plentiful. After a satisfying lunch, our journey continues with an afternoon safari. By now, we expect to have encountered most of the animals on your wishlist, perhaps even some unexpected surprises. As the day winds down, return to camp at sunset, ending with a final dinner around the comforting glow of the fire in the heart of the park. Mid-range rest camp located inside Central Kruger NP All meals included Drinks not included
Day 6
On the final day of your remarkable safari, immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of the Park through a guided bush walk with an expert Kruger ranger. Learn secrets of the bush, identifying tracks and gaining insights into diverse wildlife. This unique experience unveils nature's aspects easily missed from a vehicle, allowing a deeper connection with the wild. Upon returning to camp, a hearty breakfast awaits. We then embark on a leisurely drive to the exit gate, eager for a last thrilling wildlife encounter. As we reach Hoedspruit at 11 am, you’ll meet the transfer team for your journey back to Johannesburg. The scenic route goes over the Drakensberg Escarpment, the last stretch of Southern Africa’s longest mountain range. Anticipate reaching Johannesburg between 5 pm and 6 pm, dropped off at O.R. At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari. We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more. Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here. If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again. Many thanks to the entire Team.

We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. But we will come back, and in the meantime, we will recommend Wild Planet Safari (with Eric) to all our friends. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, Eric. We are glad to have met you.

We had a wonderful time touring Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safari. We did an extended north to south tour and our guides, Eric and Ryan were great. Hope was our cook and his meals were wonderful! Thale took care of all the administrative details and was wonderful to work with. We hope to be able to do this again in the future!
