Day 2
Antananarivo - Miandrivazo
Departure in the morning, then drive to Miandrivazo through mountains, hills, and rice fields. Ambatolampy is a small town between Behenjy and Antsirabe. Its artisanal manufacture of aluminum tools, utensils, and decoration is famous in Madagascar. Gare D’Antsirabe: The station was built in 1923. Although the station is closed and all train services have stopped. As once the landmark of Antsirabe, the colonial architecture of the station itself still attracts many tourists to visit. Antsirabe Cathedral: It is also called Notre Dame de la Salette. It is located in the center of the city. It is a Catholic church founded in 1908 and dedicated in 1931. You'll check in at the hotel and stay overnight. Miandrivazo: It is a town located between Morondava and Antsirabe, which is considered the hottest place in Madagascar. Miandrivazo - Kirindy Reserve
You'll leave early in the morning, have breakfast on the spot, then continue to reach the capital of the Baobab tree. Kirindy Forest: The Kirindy Forest is a private nature reserve situated in the north of Morondava town. With a high rate of endemism, the Kirindy forest is a true jewel of western Madagascar and a vestige of the primary dry forest. Home of the island’s largest mammal. ‘FOSA’. Two hours of visit inside the reserve and two hours of night walk. Day 4
Kirindy Reserve
You'll leave early in the morning to visit Kirindy forest. With a high rate of endemism, the Kirindy forest is a true jewel of western Madagascar and a vestige of the primary dry forest. You'll visit the reserve for 4 hours. There are 8 species of lemurs, 6 of which are nocturnal, 68 species of birds, 6 of which are threatened, 43 taxa of reptiles, 2 species of turtles, 23 lizards, and 17 species of snakes, as well as 86 species of ants. After the visit, you'll go back to your hotel for lunch. You'll have an evening walk to another place (Ankiba Lodge) to see the nocturnal lemurs or take a microbus. Kirindy Reserve - Morondava
You'll have breakfast at your hotel, then another morning visit to the reserve. You'll visit Akiba Lodge Marofandilia, in the heart of the Menabe Antimena dry forest, which is surrounded by majestic baobabs, just a few kilometers from the legendary Avenue of the Baobabs. Immersed in a magical atmosphere, you'll be in perfect harmony with the immensity of nature. Here, the loving Baobab, a union of two majestic giants entwined, watches over you from the lodge entrance. You'll have lunch and an afternoon drive to the Avenue of Baobabs for sunset or sundown. Your overnight stay will be in Morondava city. Morondava - Antananarivo
You'll have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport. Rova -Le Palais de la Reine: The final leg of our trip sends us back to the city where it all began. You will have a day tour of the famous sites of Antananarivo. Highlights of the tour on the 12th include the Queen's Palace, built around 1610 and situated at the highest point in Antananarivo. Analakely Market: You will visit the French colonial markets and buildings on Avenida Independencia, a place where people exchange and buy products. Heading to the airport later in the day.
