Day 1
Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, your friendly safari guide from Naleyo Tours and Travels will meet you and transfer you to a budget-friendly guesthouse. You'll take a relaxing stroll along the shores of Lake Victoria or explore the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a peaceful haven filled with exotic plants and birdlife. You'll enjoy a warm welcome dinner and a briefing about the exciting safari ahead. Tonight, rest well and prepare for your adventure into Uganda’s lush wilderness. Day 2
After an early breakfast, you'll depart Entebbe and journey through rolling hills, tea plantations, and small villages toward Kibale Forest, the primate capital of East Africa. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a guided chimpanzee trek through dense tropical forest. Listen to the echoes of chimps calling as they swing from tree to tree—a truly unforgettable experience! Later, you'll stroll through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, spotting colorful birds, butterflies, and maybe even swamp-dwelling monkeys. You'll spend the night at a cozy budget lodge, surrounded by nature and ready for tomorrow’s wildlife adventures. Day 3
You'll wake up to the sounds of the forest before heading south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you will embark on a thrilling game drive across the savannah plains. Keep your camera ready: herds of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, warthogs, and possibly lions and leopards roam freely. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, watching hippos wallow in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and a stunning array of water birds. You'll retire at your lodge for a rest, while you fall asleep to the distant calls of wildlife. Day 4
After breakfast, you'll travel through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. You'll stop for photos of these magnificent big cats lounging in acacia trees before continuing through scenic countryside and charming villages toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorillas. You'll check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking views of forested hills, preparing for the highlight of your safari tomorrow. Day 5
Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing with park rangers, you'll trek through lush, misty forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek may last 2–6 hours, depending on their location, but every step brings excitement. Finally, you'll spend an unforgettable hour observing the gentle giants in their natural habitat—playing, eating, and interacting with one another. In the afternoon, optional visits to a Batwa community provide insight into the local forest-dwelling culture. You'll return to your lodge to share stories of your incredible day. Day 6
After breakfast, you'll begin your journey back. If flying out of Kigali, cross the border into Rwanda, stopping for scenic photos along the way. Optional short city tours allow you to explore Kigali’s craft markets or the moving Genocide Memorial before departure. If returning to Entebbe, you will enjoy the scenic drive back through Uganda’s rolling hills. Your safari ends with treasured memories of wildlife, primates, and the warm hospitality of Uganda.
