Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you are met by your driver-guide from Safari 62 Limited. You will be transferred to your hotel near Entebbe for relaxation and our guide will deliver the safari briefing. Day 2
Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive west to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey passes through scenic countryside, local towns, and tea plantations. Lunch is taken en route. Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Begin with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, searching for elephants, buffalo, lions, antelope, and a variety of bird species. After breakfast and rest, enjoy an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, and wildlife along the shoreline. Day 4
Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, drive south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions (sightings subject to wildlife movement). Arrival in Bwindi in the afternoon, followed by a briefing for the next day’s gorilla trek. Day 5
Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Trek through the forest to encounter a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on gorilla location. You will spend up to one hour observing the gorillas before returning to the lodge. After breakfast, you will begin the return journey to Entebbe with scenic stops along the way. Our planning with Safari 62 began a couple of weeks before our travel. The planning was totally tailored to our party and paced well for the little kids we had with us. We went to Murchison Falls for 3 days - with an evening game drive, morning game drive, afternoon boat safari, and then experiencing the falls on our last morning. It was packed full, but so much fun for everyone! A few days later, we visited Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which was a very adventurous boat ride out to the island, and an organized excursion to see the chimps and throw them some food. Again, everyone enjoyed this! Compared to other tours online, Safari 62 had a much better value for the money, and their communication and personalized planning and follow-through really made it a wonderful experience.
