Day 1
Arrive in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s vibrant capital city located at the foot of Mount Entoto. After airport pickup and hotel check-in, enjoy a guided city tour. Visit the National Museum (home of Lucy), Holy Trinity Cathedral, and drive up Entoto Hills for panoramic views of the city. Explore Merkato, one of Africa’s largest open-air markets, where daily life unfolds in colorful style. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner with cultural music and dance performance. Day 2
In the morning, you will fly from Addis Ababa to Jimma. Upon arrival, continue by road to Chebera-Churchura National Park, one of Ethiopia’s most untouched and biologically rich protected areas. The park is known for its varied scenery—flowing rivers, small streams, scenic crater lakes, open grasslands, and rolling hills that create an ideal environment for diverse wildlife. Chebera-Churchura is especially famous for its large population of African elephants, offering one of the best viewing opportunities in the country. You may also encounter Cape buffalo, hippopotamus, lion, leopard, and other impressive mammals. With hundreds of recorded bird species, the park is also a rewarding destination for bird enthusiasts. Day 3
Spend a full day exploring the rich wildlife of Chebera-Churchura National Park. Early morning game drive offers the best chance to see elephants, lions, hippos, and possibly leopards. The park is also home to more than 200 bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers. After lunch, visit one of the scenic crater lakes and enjoy a short nature walk with a ranger. Learn about conservation efforts and local communities living around the park. Evening relaxation at the lodge with views of the savannah landscape. Day 4
After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking safari or cultural visit to nearby communities bordering Chebera-Churchura National Park. Return for lunch and take an afternoon drive to explore more remote sections of the park, focusing on birdwatching and scenic viewpoints. Day 5
After breakfast, depart for Jimma, a historic town known as the birthplace of Arabica coffee. The drive passes through beautiful forested landscapes and coffee-growing areas. In the afternoon, experience a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and explore local markets. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this charming town. Overnight in Jimma. Day 6
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Jimma for your return flight to Addis Ababa. In the evening, gather for a memorable farewell dinner at Yod Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant, where you will experience traditional Ethiopian cuisine accompanied by live music and cultural dance performances.
