You will be collected from your accommodation within the Windhoek city limits or the airport between 07.15 - 7.30 am for a short pre-departure meeting. You'll depart Windhoek at 8:00 am and stop briefly at Otjiwarongo to enjoy a light lunch pack before entering Etosha National Park through the Anderson Gate. Enjoy game drives across the park visiting waterholes looking for predators as well as zebra, giraffe, elephant and rhino. You'll arrive at your accommodation just before sunset. It's located inside Etosha National Park and has a floodlit waterhole next to the camp. You'll have twin share double rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities. Dinner is prepared by your guide and an early night is recommended. *No Single supplement will be charged if you are willing to share a tent with another traveller of the same sex. Driving time: ~4 hours. Mid-range lodge located inside Etosha NP Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
Rise up early for a pre-sunrise snack with tea/coffee and then a game drive until mid-morning when you'll return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive. After lunch at Halali, visit the mighty Etosha Pan (the largest salt pan in Namibia) before game driving across the park in your quest to find the big 4 as well as all the plains game. You'll arrive at Okaukuejo late in the afternoon and leave the park prior to sunset, visiting one last waterhole to worship another African sunset. Accommodation is twin-share permanent tents with en-suite bathroom facilities located just outside the park. Dinner is prepared by your guide over the campfire where you can compare photos and stories of the animals seen today and another early night is recommended. Mid-range lodge located just outside Etosha NP All meals included Drinks not included
Day 3
Early in the morning have breakfast before departing from the lodge at 7:40 am for a drive through the communal lands of Damaraland where you will see the communal farmers in this arid region. Stop at the Ugab River bridge to visit with the beautiful Herero ladies who sell their small art and craft items to support their families. After lunch, you'll head directly through the Namib Desert and stop at the latest shipwreck on the Skeleton Coast before arriving late afternoon in Swakopmund. We recommend exploring this seaside town on foot this afternoon and perhaps visiting the jetty for sundowners overlooking the cold Atlantic Ocean. Your guide will be happy to recommend a good restaurant for your evening meal at your own expense. Driving time: ~6 hours. Mid-range hotel located in Swakopmund (City) Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 4
This morning after breakfast we highly recommend a visit to the Museum or Aquarium (optional and unguided) and for the adrenalin junkies, a 2-hour and boarding experience in the dunes should get your pulse racing. Your departure from Swakopmund will be at 12:00 pm. Driving through the Namib Desert via the Kuiseb Pass and Solitaire, you'll arrive at the camp late in the afternoon. Have a chance to relax and enjoy the views before taking a short walk in the sunset looking over the Naukluft mountain range. Your overnight stay will be in twin rooms/permanent tents with en-suite bathroom facilities. Pool and bars are available. Dinner will be prepared by your guide. Driving time: ~5 hours. Mid-range self catering accommodation located near Sesriem (Town) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 5
At dawn, you'll depart from camp to arrive at the park gate for sunrise. Drive down an ancient river bed surrounded by towering dunes and take a 4x4 shuttle into the Sossusvlei area to appreciate the beauty of this place in the early morning light and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the region. You have the chance to explore this unique area on foot before heading to Dead Vlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees. You can either walk or take the 4x4 shuttle back to our vehicle. As you drive back to our accommodation, you will stop at the famous Dune 45 and climb this dune if you wish or just wander around the base. Return to Sesriem and visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon, one of the few permanent water sources before going back to the lodge to watch the sunset over this spectacular desert. You'll have your overnight stay in twin share rooms/ permanent tents with en-suite bathrooms. Dinner will be prepared by your guide. Mid-range self catering accommodation located less than 1hr drive from Sossusvlei (Sand Dunes) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 6
Our last day today but excitement is still on the menu. We head back to Solitaire where our guide will get us a sample of the apple pie that has made this homestead famous. There is some lovely mountain scenery on our drive back to Windhoek. The road climbs up onto and over Namibia’s central plateau and we return to Windhoek via the small community at BűellsPort and the small town of Rehoboth. We arrive mid-afternoon and will be dropped at the accommodation of our choice within Windhoek city limits or at the airport. Driving time: ~4 hours For those flying today we do NOT recommend booking any flight departing prior to 7:00 pm in case there are unexpected delays returning from safari. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included
