Day 1
On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative and briefed on your safari. Lunch will be at Tawi Lodge in Amboseli. Enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at the Lodge. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, the Kilimanjaro, is one of the most popular of Kenya's national parks. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery, it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which is 5,896 meters. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephants accompanied by lions, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle, hippo, and wildebeest. There are also over 400 species of birds, as well as all manner of reptilian, flora, and fauna. Lion is abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara's birds, occur in the reserve. Along with wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Masai community who may be seen around the borders of the park. 5.0/5I was referred to Arzoni Africa Safaris by a friend. My Canadian boyfriend informed me around June that he was planning to have spend a two weeks safari and beach relaxation in Kenya and Tanzania. Parks of his interest were Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Taita hills, Ol Pajeta and Lake Naivasha. Sam made our safari planning seamless and every request by my boyfriend and I were considered in the final itinerary. Overally, we had 10 days of safari and 4 nights in Zanzibar. The choice of accommodations was amazing and our expectations were met. Food was also excellent except in Elewana Tortilis (Amboseli) which were somewhat too spicy. George was a great guide with a sense of humour. We will definitely choose Arzoni safaris again and again. Beryle & Barry

I needed some accommodation for the trip so I emailed them a month before. They were flexible about my needs and the communication with Caren and the team went smooth and everything was clear. The planning process went well. I was expecting the unexpected on the day of my trip, but our guide John was super helpful and knowledgeable about experience so I felt comfortable and taken care of. We had interesting conversations during the trip. I absolutely recommend this tour company .
