Day 1
Discover the heart of the Namib Desert
Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will be greeted by a friendly representative, who will escort you to your self-drive vehicle. After a thorough briefing on your itinerary and the details of your vehicle, you’ll be ready to set off on your journey to Sossusvlei. Enjoy the stunning landscapes as you embark on the 5 to 6-hour drive, with opportunities for stops along the way. Upon arrival at Desert Hills Lodge, you’ll be welcomed by the lodge’s warm and attentive staff. The lodge, perched on a natural stone outcrop, offers spectacular views and luxurious chalets that provide a perfect retreat. Take some time to relax and enjoy a sundowner setup while admiring the incredible scenery. On your second day, you will have the opportunity to explore the Namib Naukluft Park at your own pace with your self-drive vehicle. Discover the park's towering dunes and vast desert landscapes. A guided experience can be arranged at an additional cost. Day 3
Discover the fresh Namib coastline breeze
After breakfast at Desert Hills Lodge, you will check out and begin your scenic 4 to 5-hour journey to Swakopmund. Along the way, stop at Solitaire to enjoy their famous homemade apple pie, and at the Kuiseb Pass viewpoint for panoramic desert views - perfect for photos and stretching your legs. Upon arrival in Swakopmund, you will check into the Swakopmund Luxury Suites, where comfort meets style. The suites are centrally located, offering easy access to charming streets lined with cafes, shops, and colonial architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring Swakopmund’s unique cultural offerings, including museums and the coastline, or simply relax in the town’s laid-back atmosphere. The next morning, after breakfast, you’ll enjoy the thrill of a 1-hour quad biking adventure in the dunes of the Namib Desert. Just outside Swakopmund, ride across the golden dunes, feeling the adrenaline rush as you take in the awe-inspiring desert landscape around you. Onwards to Damaraland
After breakfast and your thrilling quad biking adventure, you will check out and continue your journey to Damaraland. This 4 to 5-hour drive offers breathtaking scenery, showcasing a landscape completely different from what you’ve seen so far. Along the way, consider stopping at the famous Zeila Shipwreck or the quaint town of Henties Bay before continuing to your overnight destination, Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp. Nestled among boulders of a granite outcrop, the camp is just 10 minutes from the Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings, the Damara Living Museum, and within the stunning Aba Huab River Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the friendly staff and have the afternoon to explore this unique destination. The next morning, after breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning Huab nature drive in search of the elusive desert elephants before continuing to Etosha National Park for the next leg of your adventure. After your once-in-a-lifetime search for the elusive desert-adapted elephants, you’ll depart for your next destination near Etosha National Park. The 3 to 4-hour journey offers a chance to stop at the Outjo Bakery for freshly baked goods and refreshments. Upon arrival at Toshari Lodge, you’ll be welcomed by the tranquil atmosphere of this stunning eco-friendly lodge, nestled under mopane and white syringa trees, just 20 minutes from Etosha. Toshari Lodge is perfectly located for day trips into Etosha, offering luxury, warm hospitality, and authentic Namibian cuisine. After settling in, enjoy a relaxing evening at the lodge. The next morning, embark on a self-drive game drive through Etosha National Park, where you’ll encounter rich wildlife in one of Africa’s most famous parks.
