Arrive at Chileka International Airport. After your meet & greet you will be transferred through the scenic Shire Highlands to Huntingdon House, an elegant manor set among rolling tea estates. After check-in and time to freshen up, you’ll join a shared afternoon activity (time permitting), beginning your stay with fresh mountain air, beautiful views, and a gentle introduction to the estate’s surroundings. Discover the art of tea production with a tea tasting and factory tour, explore the plantations on a guided tea and coffee walk, head out on a scenic bird walk, or enjoy a more active adventure with mountain biking through the estate’s rolling landscapes. Thyolo - Liwonde National Park
Before leaving Huntingdon House you will enjoy your last shared morning activity, time permitting before you start your journey from the cool highlands to the warmer Shire Valley, arriving at Mvuu Camp on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park. Day 4
Liwonde National Park
Spend the day exploring the diverse landscapes of Liwonde National Park from both land and water. Head out on a game drive with experienced guides in search of elephants, antelope, and predators moving through the bush. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat safari along the Shire River, where hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife gather along the banks, offering a different and memorable safari perspective. Before leaving Mvuu Camp, you will join your last shared morning activity before travelling by road to Lake Malawi, then continue by boat to Mumbo Island Camp, a secluded island retreat in a pristine national park.
