Day 1
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will meet our representative, who will take you to your hotel. After some rest, we will embark on a city tour of Addis Ababa. Our first stop will be the National Museum, also known as the Archaeological Museum, which houses fascinating archaeological exhibits, including Lucy, the 3.2-million-year-old hominid skeleton considered a key discovery in studying human evolution. Next, we will visit the Ethnographic Museum, which features an extensive collection of Ethiopian crafts and items of historical significance. You will spend the night at the Swiss Inn Nexus Hotel. Day 2
In the morning, around 7:30am, we will begin our drive southwest of Addis Ababa, passing through Hossana, known for its lush greenery and fertile land. Along the way, we will observe the way of life of the Oromo, Gurage, Hadiya, and Silte people, characterized by their thatched-roof circular houses surrounded by enset, often called false banana trees. The landscape is stunning, with views of Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo, two of the country's most fertile and evergreen areas, where we will spend the night at Haile Resort Arba Minch. Mid-range hotel located in Arba Minch (City) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
Start your day with an early breakfast before driving to Lake Chamo for a boat excursion. This trip will allow you to see the famous Crocodile Market and observe hippos in their natural habitat. The crocodiles here are some of the longest in Africa, measuring 8m (262ft) or more! After the boat tour, drive to Jinka, stopping along the way to visit the Konso, Tsemay and Ari people. You will also cross the Weito Desert, home to the Tsemay people. For the night, check in at the Eco Omo Resort. Mid-range lodge located in Jinka (Lower Omo Valley) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 4
Visit Mago National Park to experience the culture of the Mursi people and their villages. Here, women adorn their lips with round clay plates, while men perform scarification to signify the number of enemies or wild animals they have killed in battle. Afterward, return to Jinka for lunch and drive to Turmi. If it is Tuesday, explore one of the best markets at Dimeka, and if you are lucky, you may also witness a bull-jumping ceremony. Overnight stay will be at Buska Lodge. Mid-range lodge located in Turmi (Lower Omo Valley) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 5
This morning, we are heading to Murulle to meet the Karo people, known for adorning their bodies with intricate patterns and scars. In the afternoon, we will drive to the edge of the Omo River. We will cross the river by canoe to reach the villages of the Dassanech people (please note that while a motorboat or ferry may be available, it is not guaranteed). The Dassanech are a semi-nomadic group with approximately 50,000 members, and their clans extend across Sudan, Kenya and southern Ethiopia. They are known for their unique and ornate hair buns. We will be staying overnight at Buska Lodge. Mid-range lodge located in Lower Omo Valley (Cultural Village) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 6
In the morning, drive through the villages of Ari, Benna and Tsemay. In the afternoon, visit the Konso village, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight accommodation is at Kanta Lodge. Mid-range lodge located in Konso (Cultural Village) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 7
Today, we drive to the mountain to visit the Dorze, well-known cotton weavers. The Dorze people were once warriors. They are famous for their cotton-woven cloths and beehive huts. 5.0/5We were in Addis Ababa for two days, taking advantage of a stopover on the way to China. It was a pleasant surprise for everyone in the group. We loved getting to know Addis Ababa, a beautiful city, undergoing great expansion and will undoubtedly be the economic and political heart of Africa. The services offered by SENAIT Ethiopia Tours, represented by Mr. Taddese Atlaw, served the Butterfly Tour group very well, offering us hotel options, a fantastic city tour and a wonderful guide, Mr. Mamush Eshetu. Ethiopia is on the list of destinations that the Butterfly Tour tour operator offers to Brazilians. Thank you very much.

Great experience dealing with Taddese, great communicator and recommended the right things to do. Always felt safe and taken care of. Had a great guide the whole time. We were a family with three kids, ages 5-10 years old.

My 17-year-old daughter and I had a blast visiting Gondar, the Simien mountains, Lalibela and the Danakil Depression. The Senait team at each location was reliable, kind, knowledgeable and fun to travel with. The country is amazing in its diversity and beauty. I highly recommend visiting Ethiopia, and using Senait to do so. Thanks to the whole team and, maybe, see you all soon again!
