Day 1
You'll explore one of Tanzania’s most rewarding national parks, a land of big baobab trees, big elephants, and big cats. No wonder this ends up being the favorite park in Tanzania for many visitors. Sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys, and zebras are also almost guaranteed. Lions are plentiful here —Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. While you’ll have to work a little harder to see a cheetah or leopard, it will only enhance your excitement when you do. You can also look forward to classic safari scenery —savannah plains, river woodlands, and rocky hills. You'll be staying at Eileen's Trees Inn, a deservedly popular place down a quiet side street and an easy walk from the Karatu town center. The inn has gorgeous, shade-filled gardens, quiet, nicely decorated rooms, and a good restaurant. It may not be fancy, but it's one of the best places to stay between Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Mid-range lodge located 1-2hr drive from Tarangire NP Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 2
Welcome to the Serengeti's most popular wildlife area. It's here in the heart of the park, in the Central Serengeti, that you find the densest concentrations of wildlife. Day 3
You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals. You'll track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. You'll enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas, and kongoni as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re lucky, you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. At every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images. Above it all, you'll enjoy some of the best views imaginable when you join us on our balloon safari. As you drift high above the earth, you'll feel like you can touch the far horizon.
