Day 1
Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
You will depart from Nairobi at around 7:00 AM to make the most of the day. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at viewpoints for photo opportunities. Arrive in the afternoon at your chosen Masai Mara lodge in time for lunch and check-in. After lunch, take some time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the lodge. In the late evening, you will embark on an evening game drive (optional activity) in the Masai Mara National Reserve with experienced guides. The evening is an excellent time to spot wildlife as they become more active in the cooler temperatures. You will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Day 2
Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve
You will wake up before sunrise for a thrilling hot-air balloon safari (optional but highly recommended at an extra cost). Float silently over the vast savannah and witness the breathtaking sunrise over Masai Mara. Please note that this activity may need to be booked in advance. After the balloon ride, enjoy a bush breakfast at a scenic spot in the park, organized by the balloon safari company. At mid-morning, head out for a full-day game drive to explore different areas of the Masai Mara and maximize your chances of spotting the diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for the famous Big Five. Day 3
Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park
You will start your day with an early morning game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. This will be your last chance to spot any wildlife you might have missed during your previous game drives. Later, return to your lodge for breakfast and check out before you begin your journey from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru. After check-in and lunch, embark on your first game drive around the park with a professional guide. Keep an eye out for the park's diverse wildlife, including rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and various antelope species. If time permits, visit Makalia Waterfall, a hidden gem within the park. It’s a short walk from the main road and offers a view of the falls. Day 4
Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha National Park
You will start your day with an early game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife. Enjoy the opportunity to spot these animals in their natural habitat. Later, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and check out. Your journey from Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will check in at your chosen lodge. In the afternoon, go on a boat safari on Lake Naivasha (at an extra cost). The lake is home to a variety of birdlife, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants. You might also spot hippos and other wildlife. If time permits, consider visiting Crescent Island, a sanctuary located on Lake Naivasha. It is a beautiful peninsula where you can take a walking safari among the wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and more. Day 5
Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park
We will get an early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. You will go on an afternoon game drive after checking in at your accommodation and enjoying lunch. Amboseli National Park is situated south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern area, there are several small, rocky volcanic hills. Around the Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok Swamps, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Please take note that accommodations can be upgraded to more luxurious options or downgraded to more budget-friendly options. Explore Amboseli National Park
Rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in all of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps form the highlights of any safari! An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast. You will see the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Please take note that accommodations can be upgraded to more luxurious options or downgraded to more budget-friendly options. Amboseli - Diani
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge in Amboseli Sopa Lodge and check out. Depending on your departure time, you might have the option for a short morning game drive before exiting the park. Begin your journey from Amboseli at Voi train station to Diani Beach via the Mombasa terminus. The train ride will take a few hours. We will plan for a stopover at a suitable location for lunch en route to Diani Beach. Once you arrive at Diani Beach, check in at your chosen accommodation. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach of Diani. The beach offers a perfect setting to unwind and soak up the sun. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset views over the Indian Ocean. Diani Beach is known for its stunning sunsets, so find a spot to witness this magical sight. In the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at your hotel or one of the beachside restaurants. You will start your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel. Diani Beach offers a variety of beach activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, and beachcombing. During the midday hours, consider exploring the nearby attractions. Diani Beach is close to Shimba Hills National Reserve where you can go on a game drive and see elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife. Alternatively, you can visit the Colobus Conservation Center to learn about and observe the endangered colobus monkeys. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at one of the beachside restaurants or your hotel. After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out. Depending on your travel plans, you might have some time in the morning to enjoy the beach before departing. You will head to the Ukunda Airstrip after which we will have a domestic flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi and then transfer to JKIA airport. This itinerary allows you to experience the best of both worlds – the wildlife-rich national parks and the pristine beaches of Diani Beach.
