You'll be collected from the airport.

Day 1

Guests are collected and dropped off from any Hotel or address in Johannesburg, including the OR Tambo Airport Set off to the heart of Soweto, driving past Baragwanath Hospital, an enormous taxi rank and the historic suburb of Diepkloof. First stop in Soweto is at Motsoaledi informal settlement. Walk through the streets with your guide past street cafés and craft markets to a community centre that MoAfrika sponsors. Greet and meet the people in the settlement and learn more about their way of life. We continue on through Orlando West to the hub of Soweto. We stop outside Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square for a quick overview (optional to go inside) and then go to the Hector Pieterson Museum (closed on Mondays) for a formal tour. We make our way down the vibrant Vilakazi Street, past iconic monuments and the homes of Nelson and Winnie Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Time permitting, you have the option of stopping at Nelson Mandela Museum for a visit (own cost). Meals at own expense Drinks not included

Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
