After pickup, we meet at the FNB Soccer Stadium for a brief on its history. We then travel into central Soweto, passing key sites, before stopping at the Motsoaledi informal settlement. Here, a guided walk to a community center offers a chance to interact with locals. The tour continues to Orlando West for external views of Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square, followed by a guided tour of the Hector Pieterson Museum. We then proceed down vibrant Vilakazi Street, passing the former homes of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. We conclude at the Soweto Towers. Lunch is not included, but you can purchase food, browse crafts, or optionally try bungee jumping. After this captivating morning, you will be returned to your Johannesburg accommodation. We were picked up by Theodore from our hotel near OR Tambo Airport and driven to our accommodation in the Kruger. Theodore was really nice and welcoming and gave us all the necessary information. The drive included two stops for toilets/water/food which were really appreciated.
