Day 1
Transfer to Kruger National Park with an Afternoon Big Five Game Drive
You'll be picked up at O R Tambo or your hotel then leave Johannesburg by microbus with an experienced Kruger Park driver / guide. Travel East across the Highveld farmlands and down the valley towards Mbombela (Nelspruit), the capital of Mpumalanga province. After a lunch stop, get your cameras ready and enter Southern Kruger Park for the first exciting game drive. You will be driving through lightly wooded bush and you can expect to see antelope, giraffe and possibly elephant. Before sunset, travel the short distance to Sabie River Bush Lodge where we'll have an overnight stay. Book into a lodge room or en-suite safari tent with airconditoning and modern furnishings. Join other guests on the pool deck with a drink waiting for hippos to come out of the river to graze. Your guide will arrange a table in the Gecko Lapa Restaurant which serves a 3 course meal. WiFi is available so you can stay in touch with family and send your photos back home. Day 2
Full Day Game Viewing in Kruger Park with Open Safari Vehicle
Have an early start with a quick cup of coffee, board the safari vehicle then head into Kruger Park for your sunrise game drive. Travel through bushveld areas and probably along the river looking for Big Five species (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo). The Sabie River is a dominant feature of the Southern Kruger Park and travelling along the banks can be very exciting. After about 3 hours, stop at a camp such as Skukuza where your guide will provide breakfast packs then allow time to relax and photograph animals in the river. Continue on the mid-morning drive which includes any top sightings reported for the day plus some birdwatching. At around lunchtime, stop for refreshments at a picnic spot then continue with the afternoon drive which terminates back at your lodge. Time for a swim then enjoy sundowners on the deck overlooking the Sabie River with one of the best photo opportunities 'on safari in Africa'. Day 3
Two Morning Game Drives plus a Sunset Drive with Spotlights
After a quick coffee, head into Kruger Park for the first morning game drive searching for Big 5 species which can be found on most roads in Southern Kruger Park. Stop at a Camp such as Lower Sabie for breakfast & your guide will decide on the best route for the mid-morning drive, when you can expect general game such as antelope, zebra & giraffe. Around lunchtime, arrive at Skukuza & book into an air-conditioned chalet with screens to prevent insects. Time to cool off at the pool, relax & go to the deli for lunch. Later board the National Parks safari vehicle with spotlights for a sunset drive (duration 3 hrs) to search for predators & other nocturnal species. After a memorable day on safari, join your guide for dinner in the Cattle Baron Bistro best known for its juicy steaks. WiFi will be available near the restaurant. Day 4
Sunrise Safari Drive - Return Transfer to Johannesburg or Nelspruit KMIA Airport
Depart from the camp for your final game drive, searching for those elusive animals such as leopards, often found in trees or rocky outcrops. For the bird lovers, it’s one of the best times of the day to listen to the different calls in the bush. Stop for breakfast and review your checklist, then exit the park to begin the homeward journey. Travel past orchards and forests to Mbombela (Nelspruit) and back up to the Highveld. Arrive in Johannesburg at O.R Tambo Airport or nearby hotels by 16h00. Please allow 1.5 hours connecting time for local flights or 3 hours for international flights. We loved the tour! We stayed in 3 different locations and we expected that we would be eating breakfast at the resorts but our guide Hoppy took us to other locations and we were able to pick what we wanted. Every place he took us to eat was fantastic! The tour on the park was also fantastic! We saw everything but the leopard (he was hiding). Loved it! And the places we stayed were beautiful!

Amazing experience with Hoppy
We had an amazing experience with Hoppy Hawell and Wildlife Safaris. The communication was great, the team was very responsive and even provided suggestions on where to stay near the airport for an easy transition. Our guide Hoppy picked us at the airport and then we started with the Panorama drive for great landscape views and spots. The lodges and camps they partner with were great for nice views and easy wildlife encounters. The tour was worth every penny to have everything coordinated by them. Hoppy was very nice and experienced in the Kruger park and knew every spot to find the animals. We got our Big 5 spotting and much more! He’s really knowledgeable and answered our million questions from trees, to birds to animals. Thank you Wildlife Safaris and Hoppy for making this an experience we will never forget.

My experience with Wildlife Safaris far exceeded expectations. We saw the big 5 - included 2 rhinos & 3 leopards - and countless other giraffe, hyena, zebra, baboons, a menagerie of unique birds and much more.
