Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading southwest towards the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can marvel at the stunning panoramic landscapes and take photos. The journey continues through the picturesque countryside, arriving at Basecamp Mara in time for lunch. After settling into your comfortable tented accommodation, embark on your first thrilling afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, the Mara’s golden plains come alive with wildlife activity. Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and other remarkable species. The drive concludes just before dusk, allowing you to return to camp for a sumptuous dinner under the African sky. Game Tracking in Masai Mara
Wake up to the calls of the wild and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off on a full-day game drive. This is your chance to explore the vast savannahs of Masai Mara, known for its dense population of predators and abundant plains game. With your expert guide, traverse different sections of the park, seeking out the elusive leopard, powerful lions, and vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo. A picnic lunch is set up in a scenic location within the reserve, allowing you to dine amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Mara. Continue your safari adventure in the afternoon, venturing deeper into the park’s diverse habitats. Witness hippos and crocodiles basking in the Mara River and experience the untamed wilderness in its rawest form. Return to Basecamp Mara in the evening for dinner and relaxation. Return to Nairobi with an Optional Maasai Village Visit
On your final morning in the Mara, enjoy an early game drive to catch the predators in action before the heat of the day sets in. After breakfast, check out from the camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi. For those interested in cultural immersion, an optional visit to a Maasai village can be arranged. Here, you’ll get the chance to interact with the Maasai people, learn about their age-old traditions, and witness traditional dances. You can also explore their handcrafted beadwork and purchase unique souvenirs to support the local community. After the village visit, continue the drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. The Tour operator was diligent in how he handled us
Our trip to Hells Gates coutesy of Kriproto Safaris was marvelous. The tour guide ensured that all the requirements in terms of documents and suppliers were available even before the start of the journey. Not only did he ensure that we got on site early enough but also made sure we got to visit all the scenic places within reach though not part of the itinerary.
