Blantyre to Majete Wildlife Reserve
You'll depart early from Blantyre with Baseline Travel for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Majete Wildlife Reserve, home to Malawi’s Big Five. Upon arrival, you'll settle in and prepare for an exciting afternoon game drive to spot elephants, buffalo, sable antelope—and with luck, lions and rhinos. As the day ends, you'll enjoy a glowing sunset over the Shire River before spending the night at Thawale Lodge, nestled in the heart of the reserve for a true bush experience. Your day 4 journey begins with a departure from Majete, heading toward the captivating Lake Malawi. Along the way, you'll enjoy a scenic stop at Zomba Plateau, where towering forests, cool air, and sweeping views invite you to stretch your legs with a refreshing walk through nature. After taking in the plateau’s serenity, you'll pause for a relaxing lunch at Kefi Hotel. Refueled and recharged, you'll continue the drive through Malawi’s ever-changing landscapes until you arrive at the shores of Lake Malawi.
